The physician looked at her. "Yes, but I would advise easing up for a little. He needs a break and some relaxation. And you'll have to keep an eye on his condition, Mrs. Suzanne," he continued, turning to face Suzanne. "His body's been under a lot of stress."
She hesitated to respond, allowing the doctor's words to sink in. It was not her intention. Becoming his nurse, his caregiver, was the last thing she desired. Finding the truth about her sister's death was her only goal in coming here.
Her heart, however, started to sag as Andrei's gaze returned to her. Is it possible for her to overlook everything that was going on between them? Andrei interrupted her thoughts with a harsh tone,
"I'll be fine. Just give me the discharge papers when I'm ready to go." With a neutral expression, the doctor nodded.
