Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Courting Death

Power Stones= Motivation= More and longer Chapters.

After I thought I was ready to go to Marvel World, I wished to leave Anant and explore the outside world. The next moment, I found myself in a dark place that resembled a haunted forest. I could see many souls resting in this place, and it seemed like a separate dimension. The place was cold and filled with death energy, and its most noticeable feature was black ice. From what I saw, I was sure that I was in Hell, but which one? The answer was in front of me as I held a Necrosword aimed at my neck, ready to chop it off.

Upon seeing the person holding the other end of the sword, I wasn't shocked. There were very few people who could successfully wield the Necrosword, and the person in front of me was the most notable character who wielded it.

Hela, the Asgardian Goddess of Death, Underworld, and Decay.

I looked at the half-dead goddess, who was surprised by my sudden appearance. However, she quickly hid her emotions, as expected of her. She made her sword disappear and stepped back, ready to engage in combat. In contrast, I had a carefree attitude. I crossed my arms over my chest and looked at her with a playful smile. In the past, I would not have dared to act this way. But now that I have gained my strength back and know my identity, fear is the last thing on my mind.

I spoke, "It is a rude way to welcome guests, don't you agree, Hela?" I looked into her eyes, and I noticed them glowing with greed for a few milliseconds - something a normal human wouldn't have noticed. Her micro-expressions indicated that she was displeased, perhaps because I was stronger than her or for some other reason. But it didn't matter to me.

Hela was a stunning woman in every way imaginable. Her skin was pale as ash, and her eyes shone like emeralds. Her long black hair seemed to be made of pure death energy, and although her face was covered by a thin veil, she was undoubtedly beautiful. It's often said that death is beautiful, and Hela embodied that notion perfectly.

She glared at me "Not when someone intrudes in their house without invitation."

"You are lucky that you are strong if you were any weaker your head would have rolled out."

"Well, I invited me," I replied cheekily.

"Though I didn't expect Goddess of Death to be beautiful. Honestly." It was my honest thought and my inner man of culture was urging me to court death.

"State your business flattery won't get you anywhere. And should not you introduce yourself or you don't have manners." Hela said acting displeased but her lips were curved a bit upward. You are bad at hiding emotions for a goddess Hela.

But her asking my name meant she was treating me as an equal otherwise it would have annoyed the hell out of me if she acted as if I were her subordinate.

"I am Herobrine. You should ask your father about me; he should know." Although Hela was older than Thor, she was much younger than me. I had only seen her when she was a baby. Her mother, Angrboda, was very sick after giving birth to her due to Hela's death energy, which she couldn't control as a child. Odin asked me to save her, and in exchange, he gave me two tons of Uru, which was a lot.

This is also why Odin did not turn Hela into a war weapon and did not blame her for Angrboda's death.

Hela's eyes widened a bit, and she looked at me as if scrutinizing me, which was funny because she had already used her magic to scan me, and I had allowed her to do so. After a few minutes, she nodded and said, "I didn't know it was the last time you were seen, a few centuries ago, which for us is not a long time, but it caused quite a stir. It's not my problem, but I owe you a favor. Come inside." There was hidden admiration in her voice even if she tried to act haughty.

This stunned me a bit cause you are talking about Hela here the goddess of death even though I am stronger than her and talked to her like that she was still a bid bad villain who beat the shit out of Thor and almost killed him in movies.

Now I understand why the human perspective is important for entertainment and I like it a lot.

As we walked inside the palace which looked like it was made of bones I do not doubt that they were indeed bones.

It made the castle appear more intimidating, but for me, it was a fine piece of art. Two guards were standing reaching over four meters in height their eyes bright green surely they were part of Hela's undead army.

The black obsidian opened and as we walked inside and looked around it was a suitable place for someone like Hela but for any normal human it would be a nightmare and funny thing is the palace is called Mareritt meaning nightmare in Norse. (GOOGLEd)

As we were walking, we suddenly found ourselves in what appeared to be a dining hall. It was an impressive feat, and I accepted it as nobody could control the space around me, which meant that no one could transport me to another space by force.

The table was excessively long, considering that very few people visited Hela, and Helheim wasn't exactly a suitable place to live. Not even Odin could roam freely in Helheim and remain unharmed. However, there was an exception if Odin was in a soul form, which meant that Hela had let him go away after that. Hela could live in Helheim because it was her realm specifically made for her, and she would feel at home there. One of the primary reasons she hadn't gone insane due to loneliness was that she was a massive introvert pun intended and Hela felt at home.

It can be said Hela is absolute in Helheim and can almost match Odin in powers unlike what is shown in movies Hela just doesn't only get power from Asgard but also Hel.

But moving to our current situation where Hela is sitting at the head table and I am in front of her which is ten meters apart. There was an awkward silence I was waiting for Hela to speak as a host even though I came or intruded here.

But after some time I decided to speak "First let me clear something up, I didn't come here with any purpose, it was pure accident and coincidence that I appeared here but looking at you I decided to make a proposal that you will surely benefit from."

"And ... Why are we sitting at a dining table don't you do something like sit on the throne asking my purpose for coming here, etc." I was really curious about this this is standard royal etiquette.

"Do you have a problem?" She asked narrowing her eyes a little which I would consider cute if she was not Hela.

"Nah, just curious," I replied.

I never was fond of unnecessary formal shit.

"So what proposal do you have? There aren't many things that can benefit us at our power level. Unless.." she leaned forward unfortunately her clothes or armor protected her small mountains very well.

"You thought something rude about me?" Her eyes were now like slits which was cute now.

'Women's intuition' I almost cursed about this shit.

Now I think is it something like low-level cosmic awareness or something.

"No, nothing. Why would I think bad about you? You have nothing bad about you. You are beautiful, I would have confused you as Freya you know. But, now I think you are more beautiful than Freya that's for sure." I immediately said the truth.

Which worked well considering her face brightened a bit.

But soured at the mention of Frey "Don't mention that battle-hungry bitch." Ah looks like Freya is not a whore here considering even Aphrodite my little daughter is like a maiden here and Asgard has a powerful god if Freya is a battle-hungry goddess of war.

"So continuing our previous conversation. Unless you have something like Infinity Gem or better than my Nightsword or you are offering me your treasures which you surely wouldn't, considering what Odin said." Yeah, I am worse than a dragon when it comes to treasures.

"Nah, nothing like that, and looks like your father had not told you about Netherite," I smirked at her widened eyes, I hadn't thought even gods could forget.
