Chapter 46 - Ch 46: Rocket

After a month away, Surya returned to his work home, his heart still warm from the cherished moments spent with his family.

The familiar scent of the room greeted him as he opened the door, but something unexpected caught his eye.

In the center of the room stood a large, box-like object, its presence both mysterious and intriguing.

As he slowly approached it, a familiar voice called out, breaking the silence.

"Is that you, Surya?"

Surya immediately recognized Muthu's voice and responded with ease, "Yes, it's me."

Standing in front of the box, Surya saw a transparent glass door, and to his surprise, inside was Arjun, clad only in his underwear. Muthu emerged from the bedroom, noticing Surya's bewildered expression.

"Are you wondering what that box is and what Arjun is doing inside it?" Muthu asked with a chuckle.

"Yeah, and why is he closing his eyes? We're the ones who should be closing our eyes after seeing him like this," Surya replied, adding a touch of humor to the odd situation.

Muthu laughed heartily at Surya's remark. "You've got a great sense of humor. This box, Arjun calls it the 'Self-Charging' cabinet. He installed one at our factory too. He said it would recharge us."

"Really?" Surya asked, turning his head toward Muthu. His curiosity shifted to surprise upon noticing Muthu's hair, which looked unusually disheveled.

"What happened to your hair? Why does it look like that?"

Muthu shrugged. "Oh, this? Arjun called it flyaway hair or something. He said that when electrostatic charge passes through our bodies, our hair ends up like this."

Their conversation was suddenly interrupted by a peculiar sound from the machine, startling Surya.

"What's that noise?" Surya asked, confusion evident in his voice.

Muthu smiled. "Oh, when this machine stops, it makes a little sound like that."

The glass door swung open, and Arjun stepped out. He spotted Surya and greeted him warmly. "When did you arrive?"

"Just now," Surya replied.

Arjun nodded and headed to the bedroom to dress. "Have you finished packing, Muthu uncle?" he called out.

"Yeah, I'm almost finished," Muthu responded.

Surya noted a serious tone in Arjun's voice and followed him into the bedroom. Inside, he found two small beds instead of the previous large one. His confusion deepened.

"If you're surprised to see two different beds, it's because of your new roommate," Arjun explained, noticing Surya's puzzled expression.

Surya approached the beds, observing that his bed appeared normal while the other bed seemed a bit unusual, resembling a 'divan bed' with a storage compartment beneath it.

Arjun continued, "If you're curious about that storage compartment, know that it only opens with her and my fingerprints. And no, I'm not going to open it for you."

"Don't get too tense. You'll understand once she arrives," Arjun reassured him.

"One more thing, she may not join you for another three to four months. Until then, you'll have to handle the work alone."

Surya sighed, "Okay. When will you leave?"

"After lunch. And about that equipment in the hall, don't touch it," Arjun instructed.

Annoyed by Arjun's words, Surya retorted, "I won't, you bastard."

Arjun frowned. "Why do you keep calling me a bastard?"

Surya shrugged. "Because you are."

Arjun shook his head.

"I'm not. And if you're too curious about that equipment, remember, if you want to use it, make sure that the charge has to be less than five units on the screen."

After lunch, Arjun bid them farewell, setting off on a mission to hack the Night_owl program.

In the shadowy realm of the underworld, groups like 'The Bears' frequently organized gatherings where their affiliated factions could exchange information and strengthen alliances, all while the organizing group kept a watchful eye on their status.

Smaller factions mimicked these parties, hoping to forge new connections and enhance their influence.

Their main goal will always be to attract other groups to join them and become a prominent force in the underworld.

In this spirit, the 'Darkhouse' group hosted a party. The event attracted numerous infamous groups and minor factions, each aiming to expand their reach.

At the entrance, an individual arrived, determined to stand out. Confident in his uniqueness, he approached the guards without hesitation.

The first guard checked him thoroughly for weapons, then asked, "Show me your invitation card."

"What invitation card? You let them in without checking anything. Why stop me?" the man retorted.

The guard replied, "Because they're from the same group, and their leader showed the entry card. Do you belong to their group?"

The man smirked. "Do I look weak like them?"

"Then which group are you affiliated with?" the guard demanded.

"I'm not affiliated with any group; I'm alone. But by the end of the party, I might affiliate with someone," the man replied confidently.

The guard laughed and called over another guard. "Look at this guy, treating this like some kind of audition," he remarked.

Turning back to the man, he said firmly, "Whoever you are, this isn't a selection round or a game where these prominent groups pick members like you. Understand? Leave before I take action."

The man remained unfazed. "What do I have to do to gain entry?"

Growing frustrated, the guard placed a hand on the man's shoulder. "Whatever you do, you won't get a chance to enter this party. Understand?"

The man smiled. "What if I kill all of you guards? Can I then enter without any problems?"

The guard's anger flared, and he gripped the man's shoulder tighter. Instead of reacting with pain, the man smiled, which confused the guard.

He grabbed the guard's hand, moving swiftly he twisted the guard's arm, causing him to fall, then seized the guard's gun and pointed it at his head.

As he loaded the weapon, the senior officer of the guards appeared, shouting, "Stop!"

Ignoring the command, the man pressed the gun harder against the guard's head. The senior officer asked, "What is your name?"

The man replied calmly, "People call me 'Rocket'."
