The Phoenix family gained power about 40 years ago when the nations of Africa all united under a single leader and Egyt began its revival.
The Pharaohs were reborn. Divine rulers believed to be descendants of the many, many Gods they worshipped. Among them a young man named Seti Phoenix came to the throne 12 years ago after his own father died of a mysterious illness.
7 years into his rule an revolution sparked that swept the peninsula, dethroned those tyrant kings one by one. In their arrogance and fear of betrayal the royal family refused outside help in fear of being subjugated later by their new allies.
But times were changing, and like many much larger, more established empires of the past the New Egyptian Empire crumbled and the Alliance of Africa was born from its ashes.
