Keegan smirked, "You're getting more interesting each time you open your mouth."
"What do you want?" I ask.
"I want you to do something with Conrad." He said with his solemn tone.
"You want me to kill him." As I said that, I noticed an intense aura coming from my back. Must be from Keegan's Man.
Killing the heir of Alpha meant betraying your own pack. If Keegan really wanted to kill his brother, those men had to choose which master they had to follow.
I focused back on Keegan, but his face was also in surprise. "Seriously woman, how do you get the idea from? I'm not so wired with my life so I had to betray my pack. And if I want to kill him, I won't use a weak female wolf like you."
Right. This man didn't know I was an assassin. "Then tell me."
"I'm going to have a deal with you." He spoke, "I'm going to use you to make him waver. I need something he has. And after I get it, you'll be free."
"You know that sounds ridiculous, considering I was nothing to him for these past ten years." Not to mention we had a bad relationship in the past. Keegan might not know about this, and I'm not going to open anything for this man.
Keegan walked to the counter, pouring two glasses of wine. "I've tried another method, but it's not a success. Don't worry Eliana, I know what could irk him on the head."
He gave me one of the drinks. "I just need you to play along with whatever I said, and freedom will be at the front of your door."
I secretly laugh in my head hearing that. After I was free from these chains, I could easily take the silver ring from him, freeing myself just like that. And leaving this town after will not be so hard.
But then, I could use this for my revenge. "Let's make another deal." I said confidently, "I will play along, but you have to help me take over my pack from my brother."
Keegan was eyeing me. He already didn't like it when I talked back to him. "I know you have no alpha mate. If not, I wouldn't buy you as a slave. You don't have a husband to give the Alpha title to."
"Who said I'm giving the title away." I smirked, mockingly. "Keegan, you don't know me so well. It's me who would be their queen. As an alpha female."
His annoyance was shown as his veins were visible on his neck. It must be the first time he received this kind of insult from a slave.
Who told him to buy me as one of the kind. I knew he's going to kill me if he could. But I was still useful to him.
"Stop dreaming." He must have thought I was insane, "You'll do what I told you to. Ron! Bring her to the maid room. Tomorrow night, you'll appear at my dinner banquet. And don't worry, Conrad will be there." He said that before taking the ring and leaving the room.
I was brought to a maid place at the back of the castle. It was in a separate building where the other maids and workers lived there.
The house is small, but it was a long way better than what uncle Gerald prepared. Compared to this place, our pack was like living on dirt. It was a famous story from generation to generation that Alpha from the Geargo family was growing his pack each moment. As proof of the rumors, I finally saw how grand this town could be.
My room here was also better. Before my uncle died, I was living in his house as one of his abandoned storage compartments became my bedroom. It was small and full of mice.
I also remembered how his Luna, Aunt Areal, was so depressed because of her husband's narcissistic behavior. And of course, I was a complete available punching bag for her from time to time.
There was a time when she came to me after Gerald abused her so badly. She came to my room, destroying everything.
Even after I cleaned the room and wiped out every mouse I saw, that woman always found a way to bring more mice into my room. That's why I chose to sleep in the middle of the cold forest rather than in my room.
"This is Lisa." Ron said, introducing me to a middle aged woman. "She's my wife."
"Oh dear, you're such a beautiful girl." She looked at me, with both of her hands touching my cheeks.
Her expression changed a little when she looked at my scar. For a male wolf, every scar was a symbol of how experienced they are, but for a female wolf, the scar on the face was like a scar on one pack's pride, a symbol of weakness of the pack.
"What's your name, Honey?" She asked.
"I'm Eliana." I was about to say Eliana Mordue, but Aibek was taking out my last name from me. Lisa rubbed the line of my scar, "This scar won't define you to anything bad. There was a time when a female wolf became a warrior, not only did they have the scar on the face, but all over their body."
I already like this woman. She didn't look to have a single evil thing being in her vein.
"What are you doing Ron? Unlock the chains right away." She snapped to her husband, and I was smiling slightly hearing that.
"Gosh! I know I know!" Ron unlocked all the chains that bound on my wrists and ankle. My skin was red showing the trace of the steel.
Lisa urged me to sit. She was already holding a plate full of meat chunks. "Have the food first. It's already dawn and you can take a rest. I'll introduce you to the others after you wake up."
And that's what I did. The sun was brightly shining when I opened my eyes. It was the smell of food that woke me.
