Behind bigmom, the rest of the selected crew members of big mom pirates, followed her to the Island.
They have made two groups in their assault plan. The first group consisting of the main attackers will go ahead and engage the bua pirates in combat. There is no doubt in their victory since in the first group was being led by big mom herself.
The second group will follow the first group closely behind. They will ensure that no one will be able to interfere with the fight. It is important for big mom pirates. The second group was being led by Katakuri, the second in command big mom pirates. He was the only one who can resist, if an admiral comes to interfere.
Bruly and Perospero have not ignored The Marines, that might come to play. Although, they might not interfere directly but there is high chance of marine interference in the war under the orders of world government. In those cases, Bigmom pirates will kill as much marines as possible before retreating. It will serve a perfect warning for Sengoku.
In that group, there were Katakuri and oven were the main fighters. The rest of the combatants were at the whole cake island, managing their territory.
With the plan in mind, big mom pirates have proceeded.
But the second group was not expecting to meet two warlords on their way.

Hancock greeted her teeth as she dodged another attack from bigmom.
While Bigmom's attacks using her homies were rendered useless by Hancock's powers, her haki coated direct attacks were still very dangerous for Hancock. Not to mention she has not been able to deal a single damage on her since their fight has started.
The natural defence of big mom was absurd. Even after sacrificing all her defence and focusing on her offence has done a little to no damage on the monstrous body of big mom. It was really frustrating. Big mom wasn't even using her color of armament to defend against Hancock's attacks as if mocking her efforts to harm her. And whenever Hancock tried to use for power, big mom immediately use her colour of armament to defend against her attacks.
On the other hand Hancock had to focus completely on her evasion. Even a single strike from big mom using her conqueror's haki could actually defeat Hancock. As pridefull and she is, Hancock was not an idiot. From her previous experience with Rayleigh, she knew not to underestimate her opponent. And with her overwhelming physical power there is no way Hancock is going to underestimate that monster.
She was even avoiding direct clashes as much as possible focusing solely on evading heart attack with the help of her future sight. Her future sight was not at a level of Rayleigh or Shanks. But it was enough to evade the attacks from bigmom.
But then there was another concerning thing about big mom that Hancock was worried about. Big mom was not attacking relentlessly knowing that she will dodge her attacks. Instead she was taking her time chaining her attacks while taking little breaks in the middle of two attacks. It allowed her to conserve much more energy than Hancock. That means even if she did not able to hit Hancock directly she will eventually overwhelm Hancock , when her stamina runs out.

On the other hand while Hancock has engaged in a fight with big mom, The other children of Charlotte Linlin that came with her, have engaged with the other members of boa pirates.
Charlotte Smoothie was fighting Silver. Both of them where non devil fruit users. Smoothie health yet to eat any devil fruit unlike her brothers. But her mastery with both the colour of armament and observation were just below her brother Katakuri. Combining that with her swordsmanship, she is very deadly.
On the other hand, Silver was a top tier marksman. She has also mastared the colour of armament and observation. While her armament haki slightly weaker than Smoothie, Silver's observation haki was better than her.
So at the end they were stuck with each other at a mid range fighting with no one gaining upper hand with the other.
Gloriosa was fighting the second strongest after smoothie from their current assault team, Charlotte Amande.
Amande was also a non devil fruit user. She has greater mastery over sword than her elder sister Smoothie. But she was lacking in the department of Haki. So Gloriosa was slowly but surely overpowering her. In this fight, Gloriosa was not going all out. Because she knew that it won't matter even if they defeat all of Linlin's children. As long as Linlin herself is standing, they were screwed.
And Gloriosa had no doubt that there is no way for them to win the fight. Hancock was not ready yet. So she was conserving her energy in order to pull out an escape in any unfortunate circumstances that will surely arise.
The other members of Boa pirates have also engaged in combat with different pirates of big mom pirates.
Most of them were dominating their fight. Especially Sandersonia and Lami. They were fighting against Charlotte Angel and Charlotte Custard respectively.
Lami, despite her age, was using her devil fruit powers to it's maximum potential.
They also understood that the main result of the fight will completely depend on the fight between Hancock and big mom. So they were also conserving their energy while barely pushing back their opponents .
Marigold was not engaging anyone in fight. She has been conserving her energy in order to make an escape and any time.
