Chapter 1 - Discover prehistoric remains

In an open space on a high mountain, lush trees surrounded the area, with birds chirping in the background, adding to the serene atmosphere.

"God…"

A group of primitive people, their bodies covered with black hair, knelt on the ground in a ritualistic manner, praying and praising towards the sky with admiration and awe.

Su Qi observed the primitive people below, his expression thoughtful.

Suddenly, a reminder sounded in his mind.

[This game is about to end. Do you want to archive it?]

Su Qi pondered for a moment before deciding, "Save it."

[Archive successful. Please name it.]

After some thought, he named it "Prehistoric Civilization."

[Successful naming. Initiating return...]

As the voice faded, Su Qi's eyes flashed, and he found himself back in his hometown, lying on a large bed.

Gazing at the familiar surroundings, Su Qi felt a sense of disorientation.

[Your harvest from this game has been distributed. You have gained the physique of a prehistoric human.]

Instantly, Su Qi, who had previously been weak in physique as a modern person, felt a surge of strength.

His muscles became firmer, his arms filled with newfound power...

"What is this?" Su Qi was amazed.

As he clenched his fist, he felt a surge of power, realizing that even elite soldiers might not match his strength now.

"But of course, prehistoric humans faced beasts daily, so their physical fitness would naturally be superior. One punch from a modern human should be child's play." Su Qi chuckled at his newfound strength.

"Is there more to gain from deducing other worlds?" Su Qi's eyes sparkled with curiosity and a newfound lust for life.

It had been three months since he arrived in this modern world, which was almost indistinguishable from his previous life.

Originally, he had planned to use his foresight to make a fortune. At the very least, he could become a successful copywriter or a renowned author. However, he discovered...

His body was suffering from advanced lung cancer, with the cancer cells having spread throughout his body...

Su Qi felt despair creeping in. Just as he was on the brink of death in his hometown, the system for deducing world lines appeared!

It offered insights into the direction and future of the world, presenting countless possibilities every minute and second. This system could deduce those unknown possibilities.

His previous experience in the prehistoric world was a result of this system's deduction.

Cough, cough...

Suddenly, he raised his hand to cover his mouth, coughing violently.

Examining his hand, he saw the bright red stains, signaling the severity of his condition.

Su Qi remained calm.

Even with the physique of a prehistoric human, his cancer couldn't be cured. At best, it could be alleviated. However...

"If a world line involving superpowers is deduced later, could I gain superpowers? Would my cancer be cured?" Su Qi's eyes gleamed with hope and urgency.

[The next deduction will take 24 hours.]

Su Qi fell into contemplation, reflecting on his previous experience in the prehistoric world.

Remembering how he was revered as a god by those primitive humans, Su Qi shook his head, dismissing those memories.

Deductions were just that, deductions. Everything was illusory. Who was he to be revered as a god?

"I'm just an ordinary person," Su Qi sighed.

...

"Good news!"

"Professor, we've discovered a prehistoric site!"

With a loud bang, the door to the office burst open!

A young man with glasses, exuding a scholarly air, rushed in, his face brimming with excitement.

"Xiao Zhang, you're not a child anymore. Why are you so reckless?" Sitting at a brown desk, Professor Chen, with his gray hair, raised his head from his papers, frowning at the interruption.

Lost in his documents and struggling to catch Zhang Hao's fast-paced explanation, Professor Chen couldn't quite make out what he was saying.

"No, professor, let me explain..."

Zhang Hao gasped for breath, hastily trying to explain.

After a moment...

"What? You've found a ruin dating back more than 10,000 years?" Professor Chen's eyes widened in disbelief.

Zhang Hao nodded vigorously. "Yes, professor. After our preliminary inspection, we estimate the ruins to be at least 10,000 years old!"

"Where is it? Take me there!"

Professor Chen's face flushed with excitement, grabbing Zhang Hao's arm, he rushed out without another word.

After a few hours...

Professor Chen and Zhang Hao arrived at the excavation site of the ruins.

It was a quaint and cluttered cave. Workers were busy clearing debris and other objects. Security tapes and guards were stationed at the entrance.

Some onlookers, along with well-informed reporters who had arrived early, surrounded the cave entrance, eager to catch a glimpse inside.

Spotting Professor Chen getting out of the car, reporters who recognized him immediately rushed over.

"Professor Chen, is it true that you've unearthed relics dating back more than 10,000 years?"

"Can you share any details, Professor Chen?"

"You..."

Listening to the barrage of questions and the thrusting microphones, Professor Chen was taken aback.

Who leaked this information? This was outrageous!

"The ruins are still under excavation, and we don't have all the details yet."

After giving a brief explanation, he tried to push through the crowd, saying, "Please excuse me..."

"Professor Chen, can we film inside?"

"The audience is eager to see what's inside, Professor Chen..."

The reporters, stopped by security, expressed their disappointment, shouting out questions to Professor Chen's retreating figure.

Professor Chen shook his head, ignoring the reporters as he attempted to enter the cave with Zhang Hao.

However, a young staff member approached them, looking somewhat embarrassed. "Professor, a few reporters will be allowed in. They're hoping you can give them a tour."

"Nonsense! The ruins haven't been properly excavated yet. How can they be allowed in? What if they damage the ruins?" Professor Chen scolded.

"But professor..." The staff member looked helpless, raising a finger to point to something, implying a different meaning.

Professor Chen frowned, realizing the implications. He sighed inwardly.

Unable to refuse, he instructed sternly, "Tell them they can take pictures later, but no touching. Otherwise, they'll have to leave."

The staff nodded and hurried off to relay the message.

Shortly after, a man and two women, dressed in different attire and clearly not from the same TV station, along with several camera crew members, approached.

After cautioning the reporters not to wander or touch anything, Professor Chen led them inside, following the guide.

As they ventured deeper into the cave, they noticed some carvings on the walls, depicting scenes of sacrifice.

"This appears to be a sacrificial scene," Professor Chen remarked, his brow furrowed in contemplation.
