"Is that an issue?" Ayla answered, "I could always sleep outside the tent." Her eyes darted around as she tried to find a suitable spot to sleep for the night.
Marius let out a sigh and shook his head as he stepped into the tent, muttering, "whatever. Just don't snore too loud."
Walking in behind, Ayla closed the tent and said, "snoring?" I don't recall ever snoring, hero?"
"I was joking…" Marius looked at her and rolled his eyes. He was currently too mentally drained to find the energy to laugh, so he climbed into the sleeping bag.
The goddess did the same and squeezed in, finding herself pressed against his chest. "Good night, hero." She didn't close her eyes.
"Good night…" Marius responded before closing his eyes, and after an uncomfortable silence, he eventually drifted off to sleep.
But then, he found himself in a pure white void, where silence reigned.
