Chapter 7 - Chapter-7 The Unpresen Surprise

As they journeyed through the maze, a blood-curdling scream echoed through the corridors. Eric's eyes widened with concern. "What was that scream like?!"

Harry's expression remained indifferent. "Looks like someone needs help."

Eric's instincts kicked in. "So we must go and help her."

Harry snorted in disbelief. "Are you crazy? If you want to go, go ahead. I'm not going."

Eric's face fell, disappointed by Harry's response. "How can you say that? You should help people in trouble."

Harry shrugged. "I haven't taken responsibility to help everyone. If you're so worried about that girl, then you should go and help her. Otherwise, if you delay, who knows what can happen to her?"

Eric's eyes narrowed, frustrated by Harry's selfishness. "Fine, I'll go alone then."

Harry raised an eyebrow. "Suit yourself, but don't expect me to bail you out if things go wrong."

Eric took a deep breath and rushed towards the source of the scream, leaving Harry behind.

Harry's eyes lit up with excitement as he held up his latest invention - a compass. He had spent weeks tinkering with it, certain that it would revolutionize navigation. These early compasses were made with lodestone, a form of the mineral magnetite that is a naturally occurring magnet and aligns itself with the Earth's magnetic field. But as he activated it, the needle spun wildly, refusing to settle on a direction.

"Curse this magnetic force!" Harry muttered, frustrated. "It's ruining everything!"

Harry scowled at his compass invention, furious that it wasn't working as intended.

Just then, a familiar scaly figure appeared. His side his face lighting up with joy,

"Ah Mongbang! You're here! I'm so glad you're here to help me get out of this mess."

Mongbang chirped again, as if sensing Harry's insincerity. But Harry didn't care. He only kept Mongbang around because the lizard's unique abilities made him a useful tool for Harry's experiments.

"Come on, Mongbang," Harry said, using the lizard to guide him through the maze. "Let's get out of here. I have more important things to attend to."

Harry's eyes light up with excitement as he follows Mongbang's direction. "Ah, excellent! With Mongbang's guidance, I'll be out of here in no time." He ignores Eric's attempts to help the girl and focuses solely on his own escape.

Mongbang has been with me since birth.

As a child, me and Mongbang were inseparable, with the lizard following me everywhere.

He was there with me when my family left me alone in the downstairs cell, and he was there too when my family left me alone in the woods to die.

As I grew older, Mongbang became an integral part of my scientific pursuits, helping me with experiments and providing a unique perspective.

Meanwhile, Eric rushes towards the girl's location, his water magic at the ready. "I'll handle this, Harry. You just worry about yourself." He disappears from view, leaving Harry to his own devices.

Harry smirks to himself as he follows Mongbang. "I don't need anyone's help. I've got this." He quickens his pace, his eyes fixed on the path ahead. Mongbang's role is crucial in helping Harry navigate the maze and find the exit. As Harry's trusted companion and guide, Mongbang's keen senses and instincts prove invaluable in leading Harry to safety.

Harry's eyes light up with excitement as he follows Mongbang's direction. "Ah, excellent! With Mongbang's guidance, I'll be out of here in no time." He trusts Mongbang implicitly, knowing that the lizard's keen senses and instincts will lead him to the exit.

Mongbang, sensing Harry's urgency, quickens its pace, its tail darting back and forth as it navigates the twists and turns of the maze. Harry follows closely behind, his eyes fixed on the lizard's scaly back.

As they move through the maze, Mongbang's sharp eyes scan the surroundings, detecting hidden dangers and finding the safest path. Harry's faith in Mongbang's abilities is well-placed, and he knows that with the lizard's help, he'll be able to escape the maze unscathed.

The duo moves swiftly and silently, their partnership a testament to the strong bond between Harry and Mongbang.

Harry, a selfish and cunning individual, had only one thing on his mind - escape. But his trusty companion, Mongbang, a kind-hearted lizard, had other plans. Despite Harry's protests, Mongbang led him to the source of the scream, where the girl was being held captive.

As they approached, Harry's reluctance grew. "What are we doing here, Mongbang? This is none of our business." But Mongbang's determination only strengthened, its eyes fixed on the girl's location.

With a heavy sigh, Harry followed Mongbang, grumbling under his breath. But as they reached the girl's side, something unexpected happened.

In a desperate bid to survive, the mysterious girl fled through the treacherous maze, pursued by a swarm of deadly magic bees. Their venomous stingers glowed with an eerie blue light, draining the life force from their victims. Eric, a kind and brave wizard, intervened, unleashing his water magic to drive the bees back. The battle raged on, with Eric's waves crashing against the bees' relentless onslaught.

Just when it seemed Eric was gaining the upper hand, the queen bee emerged, her massive body radiating an aura of dark magic. Eric's waters faltered, and the bees surged forward with renewed strength. The girl's life force was dwindling, and Eric was powerless to stop it.

Harry, the selfish scientist, watched from a distance, calculating his chances of escape. He had no interest in saving the girl or Eric, but he knew that defeating the queen bee was the only way to escape the maze, "So you mean to say that the wall near that big bee is the way out of here, Mongbang ,what a fuss." With a reluctant sigh, he approached the battle-scarred duo, his science experiment at the ready.

"Let's finish this," Harry said, holding a small, portable electrode wand. The device emitted a bright flash, and a bolt of electricity slammed into the queen bee, striking the queen bee and disrupting her magic. Eric took advantage of the respite, responding with a powerful blast of water magic, Harry using a portable electrode wand to electrocute the queen bee while Eric used his water magic to weaken her further. Together, they defeat the queen and rescue the girl. Weakening the queen further. Harry's electrode wand continued to release electricity, weakening the queen's grip on the swarm. As the bees dispersed, the queen let out a defeated buzz and dissolved into nothingness. The girl, exhausted but alive, gazed up at Eric and Harry with gratitude. Eric's expression was stern, his eyes fixed on Harry with a mix of suspicion and gratitude. Harry, meanwhile, was already planning his next move, his mind get out of this mess

As the trio emerged victorious from the treacherous queen bee, Dhara's heartfelt gratitude towards Eric and Harry was palpable. With a gentle smile, she introduced herself, her soft voice barely audible. "My name is Dhara, and my magic is quite weak, as you've seen. It only has the power to attract." Her eyes cast downward, as if apologizing for her limitations, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Harry's expression contorted in disdain, his condescending tone piercing the air. "You're so weak, you're useless. Your magic is the reason those bees attacked you in the first place." He snorted, his annoyance evident, his words cutting deep.

Eric stepped in, his calm demeanor a stark contrast to Harry's outburst. "Hey, that's not necessary, Harry. We're all in this together." He placed a reassuring hand on Dhara's shoulder, offering a warm smile, his eyes filled with empathy. Dhara's laughter was tinged with embarrassment, her cheeks flushing pink. "It's okay, really. I'm used to it." Eric's expression reflected his discomfort at Harry's harsh words, his gesture a silent apology.

Harry waved his hand dismissively, his tone curt. "Let's just get out of here." As they exited the maze, the trio was met with a sea of familiar faces, the other students having already completed the exam. Relief and tension hung in the air, the weight of the exam's outcome palpable.

Examiner Ronal's eyes widened in astonishment as he gazed at Harry, his mind struggling to comprehend the unlikely scenario his mind racing with thoughts. "How can possible that low less aura kid, he actually made it back," he thought to himself, his expression unreadable. "And he defeated the magical wolf and the riddle master and not only that, he even defeated the dangerous Queen Bee! how can possible? That's...impossible. How did he manage that with such a low aura?" He pondered, his eyes fixed on Harry with a mix of curiosity and skepticism. "What kind of magic does he possess? I need to keep a close eye on him." Ronal's thoughts swirled with intrigue, his gaze lingering on Harry as he tried to unravel the mystery.

Examiner Ronal stood up, letting out a deep sigh, and with his magic retrieved those who were still trapped in the maze, his eyes looking authoritatively over the crowd. "Those who fail to exit the maze will receive a failing grade," he declared, his voice firm but emotionless. The students who had failed looked dejected, their dreams of advancing to the prestigious Oran Magical Academy shattered.

Teacher Ronal was just finishing his talk when someone from behind him said, The air was thick with tension as Harry confronted Teacher Ronal, his voice trembling with boldness and anger. "Are you crazy, teach?" he exclaimed, his words hanging in the air like a challenge. The students' eyes darted back and forth between the two, their faces etched with worry and curiosity. Harry's words poured out in a torrent, each one a scathing indictment of the treacherous maze they had just navigated. "You kept deadly creatures in that maze - a fierce wolf, a pyramid that burns everyone, a giant bee, and etc! Did you intend to kill us all? Do you have any idea how dangerous it was?" His gaze shifted to Dhara, and his voice filled with anger. "If we hadn't reached her on time, she could have been killed. What kind of test is this? A game of death?" Eric tried to intervene, his calm demeanor a stark contrast to Harry's fervor. But Harry's words couldn't be contained, his boldness for his fellow students' lives pouring out like a flood. Just as it seemed Harry's outburst would consume the air, someone magically appeared and interrupted him, saying, "If you have so much problem, then feel free to leave. It's rich that someone with a low-level aura like yours is trying to champion others' rights. Let's be real, you only made it out of the maze alive because of those two. Without their help, you'd still be stuck in there, or worse. You're not exactly the most capable person. There is no space for weakness in this academy." Everyone knew he was the master of the Lion Dome, and his words left the students frightened and worried. The man turned and left, and the other students began to ignore Harry. Harry's face twisted in a murderous rage, his eyes blazing with fury. "How dare he consider me weak? That's what you both think about me?" Eric and Dhara exchanged fearful glances, trying to placate Harry. "No, it's not like that, Harry," they protested in unison. But Harry's anger and hurt pride had taken hold, fueled by that man's condescending and rude words. Teacher Ronal's dismissive comment, "those who had failed, better luck next time," only added to the tension, leaving Harry seething with resentment and worry that he dare not show.

Now Harry is feeling a mix of emotions - anger, hurt pride, and resentment - after being belittled by the Lion Dome's master, Elai, and dismissed by Teacher Ronal. It's like he's been hit with a double whammy of humiliation and frustration.

It's understandable that Harry is upset, given the treacherous maze they had to navigate and the danger they faced. His outburst is a testament to his boldness and concern for his fellow students' lives. However, the man's harsh words and Teacher Ronal's nonchalant response have clearly struck a nerve, making Harry feel undervalued and angry.

The scene is tense and foreboding, with a sense of unease and fear palpable among the students. It'll be interesting to see how Harry reacts next and whether he'll find a way to channel his emotions into something positive or let them consume him.
