At the beginning of the story we hear a girl's voice saying,"It is said that love has great power. If love is true, then it can bring even the dead back to life from hell. But it is not necessary for every story to have a happily ever after, right? We love, but perhaps that person is not written in our destiny. But we still keep them always alive in our hearts, in the name of our first love."
"It all started 10 years ago. This is my story, where I had erased my first love with the stroke of my own hands, but could never erase it from my heart."
{10 years ago,Year-1987}
Hi, I'm Shizumi Akiwara. I'm 15 years old, an orphan, and live in this small orphanage. But because of my good luck, I am able to take admission in Santella Academy.
I'm not from a rich family, not good in studies, not good in sports. But because of my painting skills, I was selected in this academy. I'm good at painting whatever I see that's good and beautiful. That's why I got enrollment in this academy.
But I don't know how an orphan like me got selected among so many good family and good skill kids. Maybe only one person is behind this! Maybe God is behind this. God also goes, I turn my bad luck into good luck... Thank you, God.
Everyone in the orphanage bullied me a lot because I looked so creepy. Everyone called me a scary ghost, bad luck witch, so many names... All the kids my age and even kids older than me were adopted one by one, but I was left behind. It was not done, even the guardians of the orphanage didn't like me.
"Now that I'm leaving this filthy orphanage, I just want to tell everyone one thing: Bye-bye, sayonara, never meet again."
"The train starts moving! I can't believe that I am sitting alone in a train for the first time. Maybe this is Tokyo city's train..."
I never saw my parents... My parents died in an accident just after I was born. After that, my relatives felt that I had come with bad fate. Honestly, they didn't want any orphan to be a burden on their head, so my relatives decided to send me to a small village orphanage.
Even the people at the orphanage didn't like me much because I looked very scary. So I stopped looking at myself in the mirror because I knew I was scary face. The orphanage kids were afraid to play with me because they thought I was a symbol of bad luck.
"Orphan caretaker: 'This girl is truly the epitome of bad luck. Seeing this scary face ruined my whole day.' I also thought that I am really a symbol of bad luck, so it would be better for me to stay away from people."
But one day, in church, I saved a little girl from fire. Her mom and dad thanked me and said, 'You are my baby's savior.' The Church Priest says to me, "No one in this world comes with bad luck, it is all a game of time. We cannot change the past, but we can definitely change the future, my child. So stop hating yourself, my child. Always remember, you are very special to God.'"
I was surprised how the priest knew that I was in some trouble and without saying anything, he cured the bad thoughts about me in my mind. One day, I heard about the Santella Academy, where your luck can be changed by studying, and completing graduation from there, the government can give you a perfect salary job.
The commoners can't attend this academy as long as they pass the enrollment exam. But the problem is, this Santella Academy selects some students for this enrollment exam. For this, you will have to send a letter to the Santella Academy, where your information will be, and an example of your skill.
It is said that the harder you work, the sweeter will be the fruit. Whoever said this is right. After enduring all this, one day, a letter arrived in my name, where it was written that I have passed the enrollment exam, and welcome to me, the number one and best Santella Academy.
"'Now is the time to change my destiny.' I thought to myself, with a mix of excitement and hope. Little did I know, this was just the beginning of a journey that would change my life forever."
As I stepped off the train and onto the platform, I felt a sense of wonder wash over me. The Tokyo cityscape stretched out before me, a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds that was both overwhelming and exhilarating.
I made my way to the academy, my heart racing with anticipation. What would this new chapter in my life bring? Would I finally find the acceptance and belonging I had always craved?
As I approached the academy gates, a sense of trepidation crept in. What if I didn't measure up? What if I was still the same unwanted, unloved girl I had always been?
But as I stepped through the gates, a strange sensation washed over me. It was as if I had finally come home.
And in that moment, I knew that my life was about to change in ways I never could have imagined.
