An old man and an elf stood on the porch of the guest house. Roland crossed his arms and let out a long breath.
"Let's cut the small talk, I want to talk about Eleindal's army that coming here soon," Roland said very seriously.
Zhen crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. "What did you want to ask?"
"Can we hire you to be the village's mercenary? Even if it's just for a day."
"Probably not."
"Why?"
"The village and its people and resources may not be enough to pay for it."
Roland's eyes widened immediately. "What does that mean? What do you mean not being able to pay? Is it that difficult?"
"Sort of, I'm guessing there are at least 2 specialized knights and 1 elite knight who will come and plus a few dozen Eleindal royal army who are trained."
"Can you fight them?"
"I can do it, but the price is too big, I doubt your village can afford it."
"Couldn't you give me a discount as Arthur's comrade?"
