"How do I handle this?"
Qin Muye raised his hand, casting the Curse of Agony on himself and enhancing his side with Bloodlust and Attack Speed.
The 100 Skeleton Heavy Cavalry from the opposite side charged forward. Qin Muye didn't have time to use Basic Scouting to investigate when he noticed that the opposing hero, holding a staff in the left hand and a magic book in the right, was chanting incantations.
Seeing this, Qin Muye's pupils constricted. Hoping for the Blood Magic was futile. Currently, he had 200 Bloodlust Spirits battling the Skeleton Heavy Cavalry.
The enemy hero was also a skeleton, adorned in a long magic robe, riding a skeletal horse.
"What should I do now?"
Qin Muye suddenly realized something. He seemed to have an attack skill as well – the Magic God Arrow from the Fire Magic.
"Go!"
Qin Muye decisively cast the Magic God Arrow, intending to interrupt the enemy's casting.
A flash of fire element shot towards the Skeleton hero. Although the Magic God Arrow landed on the opponent, it didn't hit directly. A ripple appeared around the opponent, deflecting Qin Muye's magic.
While it didn't stop the opponent from casting, the flickering soul fire in their eye sockets showed surprise at Qin Muye's rapid magic release. After all, this was an instant cast.
"Shield? I don't believe it. Continue."
Qin Muye gritted his teeth and continued to cast Magic God Arrow. Simultaneously, he seized the opportunity to use Basic Scouting to check the opponent's attributes.
[Hero: Serica Morley LV11]
[Class: ???]
"What."
He only found out the name and level; the rest wasn't disclosed. Obviously, the opponent had surpassed the level that Basic Scouting could investigate. From the current analysis, above level 10 would be considered Tier 2. Otherwise, the Mage Tower wouldn't require him to reach level 10 as a lord.
After the opponent finished chanting, an invisible aura descended upon their troops.
"Serica Morley uses Weaken Curse, reducing the attack power of our forces by 5 points, lasting for 70 minutes."
"Debuff magic. 5 points in one go, 2 points more than my Curse of Agony."
Qin Muye knew that this wave seemed troublesome; after all, he was relying on this slight advantage. But now, it seemed like the opponent had an even greater edge; their strength was probably around 60 points.
Otherwise, it wouldn't last for 70 minutes. Most buffs or debuffs with a duration usually had a base of 10 minutes.
Afterward, the opponent began chanting magic again. Qin Muye noticed a weakness: the magic gap.
The opponent was a strategic mage, possibly gaining this ability temporarily due to the Monster Siege event. However, as a legitimate mage, the opponent couldn't adapt, unable to match Qin Muye's instant, cooldown-free casting.
So, this was an opportunity.
"I don't believe your shield is unlimited."
Qin Muye currently had 2 points of strength and Basic Magic. Magic God Arrow dealt 31.5 points of damage, requiring 5 magic points per cast. With 137 magic points remaining, he had enough for 850.5 points of damage.
Not aiming for a kill, breaking the shield would suffice.
In an instant, red Magic God Arrows burst out like flowing arrows. He could cast a total of 27 times.
Seeing this scene, Serica Morley was challenging her worldview. Was she a he?
Therefore, she immediately stopped casting and controlled the skeletal horse to escape. Unfortunately, the Magic God Arrow was guided.
Qin Muye just found out about this. He thought it was a ballistic magic, but the effect of the Magic God Arrow surprised him.
The first three Magic God Arrows fell, and the ripples around the opponent expanded until the fourth Magic God Arrow landed. The entire shield shattered.
Qin Muye remembered that, including the two Magic God Arrows cast before, the opponent's shield could withstand about 150 points of damage. Not too much, but not too little.
The protective barrage was indeed quite useful.
After the shield broke, the remaining 24 Magic God Arrows fell. A pitiful, eerie, and unhuman wail echoed after the fourth Magic God Arrow, directly turning the opponent into bone fragments.
"You dealt 31.5 points of magic damage to Serica Morley."
"You killed the Undead Hero: Serica Morley."
He didn't know how much health the opponent had; it was expressed as a percentage after becoming a hero. However, the opponent didn't have 756 points of health, and practically, she didn't endure more than a few Magic God Arrows, missing the rest.
"Fortunately, the opponent is just a rookie. Otherwise, I might not win." Qin Muye sighed in relief. If a more skilled mage faced him, he might not have won.
Before Qin Muye could react, he suddenly felt a palpitation.
A gray-white powder swept over, with the epicenter being the undead hero.
"Retreat! Everyone retreat!"
Qin Muye and Blood both roared. All the spirits quickly withdrew. Unfortunately, they were a step too late. Most of the spirits evacuated in time, but a small number of them were affected. Casualties occurred in waves.
"You received the Death Curse, and your health decreased by 10%."
Just a slight contact on the edge resulted in a tenth reduction of health.
"Death Curse: Defense -10, morale decreases, lasting for 70 minutes."
This wasn't just simple damage; it also meant a direct reduction of 10 points in defense, a big problem.
It was important to note that these Skeleton Heavy Cavalry, Skeleton Heavy Armored Warriors, and Skeleton Mages were all equipped similarly to his spirits. Although it was basic equipment, the enhancement was much better. Therefore, these three units had similar attributes to the spirits, only having an advantage in skills.
If not for the 10 points reduction in defense, Qin Muye could have considered himself victorious after the death of the undead hero. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.
However, the second attack of the spirits became even more terrifying.
A lower defense meant more damage received, leading to stronger attack feedback.
The Elemental Resonance of the spirits meant 1 point of health for 1 point. One slash would not kill, but the attack power would increase explosively.
The Bloodlust Spirits were even more terrifying, doubling the damage with one slash. Now, it was practically sacrificing lives for victory.
But there were exceptions; some spirits affected by the Death Curse had their health drop too low, instantly heavily injured.
As for healing, Qin Muye was helpless; he couldn't do anything, as he couldn't use the healing ability.
