Trawerr and Wanda stared at each other for a few seconds after the introductions, not knowing what to say. The silence between them was filled with mutual curiosity and a slight shyness. The gas lamps in the corridor cast soft shadows on their faces, illuminating Wanda's sparkling eyes and Trawerr's thoughtful expression.
"You sound just like Aluella described you," Wanda said, her voice soft but full of sincerity. "She always spoke of your determination and abilities, too."
Trawerr laughed nervously and scratched his neck. "And Victor told me what a formidable warrior you are. I think we have much to learn from each other."
Victor and Aluella watched closely, proud smiles forming on their faces. Aluella stepped forward, breaking the initial tension.
"Why don't we go inside and talk some more? It would be good for you two to get to know each other better."
