Lin's p.o.v
After, a while of staring at the wall, nothing seemed to make sense, I walked slowly out still refusing to believe I was a hostage, but also a special one. I do know whatever this is, it has to do with my dad.
Now at the corridor, I looked around, the corridor stretched endlessly, its tall walls towering overhead like silent sentinels guarding the passage.
There was something distinctively odd about this wall, I just couldn't place a finger whatsoever on what it was. Each step I took echoed faintly, swallowed by the vastness of the corridor as if the walls themselves held the weight of countless stories waiting to be discovered in the labyrinthine depths beyond.
"The dining is right this way, Miss Lin."
The man who came to my room earlier said startling me for the second time. Can't he just at least make a sound or something, I thought to myself, he then smiled and gestured with his hands that he came out from a particular entrance, and upon looking closely I realized fact there was a door on the opposite side of the corridor, just painted with some kind of illusion paint whatsoever, still mesmerized by how, everything was hidden.
"Miss Lin."
He called out calmly and started towards the end of the corridor, I could see a narrow staircase and on getting closer, it descends into a cozy dining area below, framed by a modest archway that beckons guests with its understated charm.
The table was already set and laid out and everything was quite arranged, "Sorry, what should I call you?" I asked the seemly gentle yet old man because it's as though we are the only two beings in this house. And he is nicer than the last two men who held me captive, I felt death was nearer while I was with them, but with this man here, there's hope somewhat of my release. Or so I thought.
"Call me, Miguel," he said, giving me a slight smile.
"Oh okay"
I didn't really see the need to introduce myself at all, am very sure he knows too much already.
I quietly sat down, staring at the food on the table, slowly realizing I felt really famished, I hadn't eaten anything at all, since my abduction.
Dinner was spaghetti and meatballs, i eagerly twirled the strands of spaghetti around my fork, quickly bringing them to my mouth while savoring the rich flavors of the meatballs and tomato sauce. With each bite, I find myself closing my eyes momentarily, fully immersed in the delightful combination of textures and tastes.
"Oh, the food is really good."
I said in between slurps.
"Am glad you like it" he said.
I noticed he was staring at me. His eyes were focused intently, studying my every move.
I couldn't tell if there was a hint of admiration in his expression, or whatever it was.
Feeling slightly uncomfortable, kind of embarrassed, or maybe it's because I was gobbling down the meal, but what did he expect, I haven't eaten in days.
With that thought, I shrugged not caring anymore about what he thought. Almost halfway done with the meal, a thought crept in.
"What if the food was poisoned?"
I found myself choking, and immediately I stood up, coughing, my eyes widening and becoming teary as pieces of food lodged in my throat.
Miguel stretched his hand, handing me a glass of water.
"You are getting really stressed."
He said nudging me to collect the water from him.
These people are cruel, if they wanted me dead, it can't be through poisoning, it has to be something worse than that, I said to myself. then I collected the water, after a few gulps.
I could feel my breath getting back to normal.
"Thank you, Miguel."
I said placing the glass cup carefully on the table.
"And I'm done eating."
I said expecting the unknown, maybe I'll be taken to a different place tonight, who knows "You're welcome, Miss Lin, it's time to head back to your room"
He said standing up and walking back to the stairs.
I cringed at the sound of "my room," that definitely can't be my room, I don't want that, anyways at least I won't be leaving tonight I guess.

Mrs Guan p.o.v
After the meeting, with my sons and their dad, it was concluded, that whoever took Lin was an enemy of the Guan's.
And obviously, they want something in exchange for our daughter. Luca made a few calls, Shyin arranged to meet up with some people, who have relations with our business, Angelo addressed the workers in our mansion and cleared the air, and Jumpyo and his dad went to meet an old friend. So it was just me and Angelo present at home, I didn't want to sit and do anything. So I called my personal assistant, to book the next flight to Japan. Everyone is busy meeting up with people, and someone needs to get to the scene of the crime, I didn't want to let anyone know, so if they ask, I am heading to South Korea for a meeting, and it's going to last for 3days. I dialed Luca right up, and after a few rings he picked up, "Hey Mom".
"Hey, son how's everything going," I asked with concern.
" Well.. can't say much, but we are hoping we will get a positive response soon, don't worry Mom, we will find her"
He added immediately. I heaved a sigh.
"Son, something came up at work, I am needed for an urgent meeting in South Korea."
I said, I felt really bad for lying, especially to Luca.
"It's okay ma'am, when are you leaving"
He sounded really concerned.
"In an hour, help me tell your brothers okay, and I'll be fine. "
I said trying to reassure him... I could hear him exhaling, responsibilities are quite much on him, as the first son
"Mum, honestly I don't think it's a safe and smart decision to leave the country at the moment, with all that is going on.."
Just as I thought, that was what was getting him worried.
"Don't worry son, I'll be fine, and it's just a three-day event, there would be security".
I lied again, honestly convincing Luca is going to be tough, now imagine me saying the truth.
"Take care, son, I need to pack my bags."
I added ending the call, I didn't want more questions, he could suspect something was off.
I sighed, glancing at my bag, would I need defensive weapons, definitely.
After a brief walk across my room, placing my hands on a wall, the wall moved inside, and I stepped into a secret section of my room, only I know this place exists, excluding an aura of determination, it's been really long since I had some action in my life.
Guan made me do cosmetics and perfumes. the dim light illuminated shelves stocked with an impressive array of firearms, neatly organized with precision just how I love it.
Gazing at each weapon, a silent acknowledgment of the power they held. With practiced ease, I selected my tools, readying myself for whatever challenges lay ahead.
"Lin mommy is going to find you."
