Lin's P.O.V
I kept running blindly, through the woods, with my hands still tied. My feet pounding against the earth, and my heart racing with fear.
The crunching sound of leaves anf snapping of branches were the only sounds I could hear as I dived deeper into the thick forest.
Finally I slowed down. My legs aching as I stopped to catch my breath. I leaned against a nearby tree, as I struggled to loosen the rope that was still binding my wrists together.
My eyes scanned around frantically, I know I was in the heart of the woods, but the sudden thought of my abductors popping up kept me on guard.
As my ears listened for any sound, other than my own labored breathing and the small whims I made as I struggled with the rope.
After much struggles with the rope, it finally came off.
Letting the rope fall to the ground, I turned and raced towards an opposite direction.
The sun had beat down on me, draining me of every strength I had left.
I was walking now, with no direction whatsoever..And that's when I spotted a glint of water through the trees - a stream!
With my fatigue momentarily forgotten, I half ran towards the glittering water.
On getting to the stream, I knelt down at the water edges.
Cupping my hands, I fetched the water to drink. I exhaled as the cold, clear water quenched my thirst, and healed my parched throat. I drank some more and splashed the water on my face. Feeling the refreshing droplets soothe my skin.
I stayed by the stream for a while, at that moment I could barely think of anything.
But at least I felt much alive, after drinking the water.
I turned back to look at the woods. Where I was in a minute ago.
"There's no going back." I muttered to myself.
I looked at the both ends of the stream. I could use this as my guide now.
Making up my mind, I decided to follow the stream, as it wound it's ways through the woods.
It's gentle flow would guide me towards my uncertain date.
Outside The Woods.
A convoy if black cars would be seen coming from a distance.
As it's lead vehicle approached the black truck, parked in the middle of the road.
There was Zack..
Leaning on the truck.
Grinning from ear to ear, as he watch the black jeeps come to a halt. Very close enough.
"That was quite fast."
He greeted, as two men claded in black suits, black shades and shoes came down from the first jeep.
"Greetings."
They said in unison as they walked towards Zack. While the rest of the cars, came to a halt.
"I see, The Chaplin heir takes deals seriously." He said with a smirk.
"We were given a short notice, and we are on a tight deadline."
One of the suited men, said ignoring Zack completely.
"But since it's just a girl, we would meet up." He added, giving Zack a dreadful smile.
"Yes yes... The woods belongs to you now."
Zack sneered, waving his hands around.
One of the men pulled out a whistle from his pocket, and blew right into it.
Startling Zack who used his hands to block his ears.
As soon as the whistle was blown, all the other car doors opened and men on black overalls came out in multitude. Forming two groups.
The two men on black suits , standing close to Zack, signalled each group. Pointing both left and right respectively.
The two groups dispatched immediately, a group moving into the woods on the left and the other on the right.
"Well... What are we to do?"
Zack asked with a shrug.
"We watch." One of the men answered as he walked back to their jeep.
"No harm should come to the girl when she's found."
The other man, who's now alone with Zack said.
Zack rolled his eyes.
" I wouldn't be the one to mess up our deal." He said nonchalantly.
The man have a shrug and walked to the jeep, where his other partner was already at.
