Guan's P.O.V
Shyin and Jumpyo were the first to showed up, at my office. It seems they were around the premises. As they walked in, they seemed kind of engrossed in a discussion.
"Hola, dad." Jumpyo greeted lightly. Taking his seat
"Good morning,dad."
"How are you doing boys?"
I asked stacking up, the paper works on my table.
"We are good." They said in unison.
"Are we having the meeting in the board room, or.." Shyin asked.
"We would be having the meeting here, make yourself comfortable".I said.
" It's already 10, dad." Jumpyo said groaning.
"Bro, we should have waited a bit longer" he added.
Shyin rolled his eyes, ignoring him.
"Dad, why'd you summoned us?" He said turning to me
"Because we have news about Lin's disappearance" I announced, the atmosphere becoming really chill and serene.
I couldn't tell how they'd feel at the moment.
But I could sense the hint of relief on their faces.
A slight knock on the door, got our attention.
"You can come in". I said loud enough, for the person outside to hear.
And Luca, and Angelo walked in,
"And how is that the both of you walked in together" Shyin asked immediately raising a brow.
"We met at the elevator" Angelo said bluntly.
"Now, now boys, let's get started" I said trying to ease the moment.
"Yeah, dad let's get to business" Shyin said.
I noticed Luca, hasn't said a word since his arrival. Well we both could guess the reason why.
"Your sister is been held by the Chaplins." I said loud and clear enough for it to sink in.
There was absolute silence for a while, each of them trying to process the news. "And they need the Dominion Charter in exchange for Lin's life." I said dropping another bombshell. I sighed and slumped into my seat. I looked at each of the boys face, trying to get a hint of whatever was going on in their head.
"Can't we make a deal or something?" Shyin asked, disrupting the silence.
"No, he was clear with what he need" I said with a sigh.
"There's must be something we can do.." Angelo added.
"There's nothing we can do son" I said clearly. I could sense the fear in their eyes, as they dreaded the next word that was going to come out from my mouth.
"No, dad we can't give them the license."
Luca, finally spoke up. I gave him a side glare. "Well, if something was done earlier, we won't be at this point." I snapped, the rest of the boys looking confused.
"We would be giving them the License, we don't have a choice." I said coming to a final conclusion.
"No we would not be doing that."
Claire's voice echoed in the room, as she stepped in. Everyone eyes turned towards the direction of the voice.
"Besides, why would you make this decision alone" She added coming towards my desk.
"What, happened to our family?"
She asked, leaning on my desk, her eyes staring deep into mine.
"Do you have any suggestions?" I asked confidently trying to hid the fact that she was quite intimating at that moment.
She relaxed and walked towards a seat.
"We would create a fake dominion charter." She said, as she sat down gracefully. Everyone was obviously amused. "No one had ever tried to create a copy of the Charter.
Lin's P.O.V
I woke up a bit early, it was already getting bright, as the sky was turning into lighter blue. I slowly stretched my legs, my stiff muscles loosening up.
Still in my dim cell as usual, there was nothing new, and obviously nothing exciting.
Thinking of an escape plan would be as good as useless.
I sat upright, thinking of walking towards the iron rods, but somehow I felt there would be no need for that.
My ears picked up the faint sound of feet's.
Someone was approaching.
I recoiled back to my former position. I didn't actually think whosoever was coming would harm me though. But retreating was safer.
A huge man, I couldn't really tell, who he was but he was giving off the guards vibe.
"Here's breakfast."
He said sliding a plate, underneath the iron bars.
"Eat up" He added with a grunt.
As soon as he was out of my sight, I peered into the plate.
I was really famished, and on sighting the slice of toast. I couldn't help it.
I hurriedly gobbled down the bread. It wasn't going to satisfy me. But it was something.
Besides the chances of me getting food again is very thin.
Luca's P.O.V
We all finally came to a conclusion, that the we would create a fake license. And it's going to be highly confidential.
Angelo was in charge of making the copy of the license.
Shyin, and Jumpyo had deployed security already to be at alert, and some already headed for Cuba.
And after my Dad was done assigning roles to my brothers, I was told to wait behind.
"Why didn't you let us know the whereabouts of your sister?"
My mum asked as soon as it was just us in the office.
"I thought I could find her on my own"
I said honestly, although that wasn't completely the truth, that was one of my biggest reason.
"You've gotten too full of yourself, and you wanted more glory..." My dad interrupted.
And yes that was also true, but I couldn't say that.
"That's enough" My mum said harshly, giving him a glare.
I don't really know if it's just me. But there's something definitely going on between them. As much as I'll like to find out, this would definitely not be the right time.
"You can leave Luca" My mom said, turning towards me.
I gave a slight nod and excused myself politely.
I walked out of my dad's office, heading to my office. When I heard my mom's voice.
"Have you met with the lawyer." She said rather loudly.
"Met the lawyer for what?"
I thought to myself. Eavesdropping would be rude.
But my mom's tone sounded way more urgent than expected.
Surely there's something up with this two, and I'm going to find out whatever it is , this two are hiding.
