Darius took a big gamble by confronting the hunters in a three versus one battle. Deep in his heart, he wished that they would take his bluff and back down.
Fortunately, the old man with the codename Phantom, was a reasonable person. Although Rank 1 Mage is not an invincible being, however, their magic power and mana pool was much higher than Conjurers who had limited mana pool.
Moreover, the Mage before them could conjure a spell without any incantation. It was enough for Phantom to not antagonize him any further.
"Lower your rifle. This is an order!" Phantom reprimanded his subordinates. "We will listen. Please spare our lives."
Darius canceled his spell when the two hunters also lowered their weapons.
"Bring the cage in the middle, open it and step back." Darius demanded, pointing to the ground between their distance.
After exchanging a glance with their leader, the man codenamed Scythe brought the cage between them and slowly unlocked it.
