We are introduced to Kyoshi, a young orphan living in a small village in the Earth Kingdom. Bullied and ignored, she discovers her earthbending abilities by accident and catches the attention of Jian, a wise and skilled earthbending master. Under his tutelage, Kyoshi begins her training and starts honing her bending skills.
