Chereads / Hazbin Hotel: Story of Cain / Chapter 89 - After The Dust Settles

Chapter 89 - After The Dust Settles

(Cain's POV)

Content

Content is the emotion that I felt in me after this war came to an end while many in Pentagram City were celebrating the end of the Exterminations along with the Death of Adam on top of that, though this wasn't over, really it was far from it in my opinion.

But as everyone celebrated the victory over Heaven and literally parading around the corpses of the dead angels as trophies for all to see.

Not only that but those that died and I was able to capture their souls and protect them from purification now all owed their lives to me, but unlike my usual self I didn't feel inclined to bind them in an eternal soul contract so with the reformation of their original bodies along with their souls put back together I let them go on their way.

"Charlie really has gotten to me…. And I guess Danny too…." I couldn't help but say with a chuckle before fading into the shadows and soon back towards the Hotel.

I reappeared and the hotel was mostly intact, though there were holes blown into the walls from what I could see, the fence surrounding the hotel was turned into scrap metal.

"Yeah…. This place is going some elbow grease…." I mutter as I enter through the remains of the gates to see everyone there, though Alastor was missing though I saw him in the ruins of the city earlier with a few wounds but nothing lethal.

Everyone was covered in angels blood while they looked at the wreck that was the hotel, though 'wreck' would be a bit harsh but we would need to fix this place up and maybe make this place better.

"Cain…."

"Luci…."

"….. Do you feel-"

"Better? Satisfied? Ecstatic? Yes, yes I am…. Does this mean I have forgiven you for what you did?…. No but I will say I don't hate your guts with every fiber of my being now." I say to him with a smirk but he clicks his tongue in return, though Charlie was kneeling on the ground and rubbing her hand over a banner.

It was a banner for Sir Pentious…. The one of the few sinners I couldn't save and… she was crying quietly as Vaggie knelt by her before I felt I could hear the faint sounds of music begin to play.

(Don't worry I'm not doing the whole song)

He did it for us, the ultimate sacrifice He gave me his trust, and look how we pay the price.

This bloodshed could have been avoided If I convinced Heaven to work together I took a hotel and I destroyed it I know I could have done better.

Better, instead of letting you down.

*******

We both looked at each other before we walked on over and knelt down beside our crying daughter.

Two Weeks Later, Pride Ring, Pentagram City Outskirts

"And now the Grand Re-Opening of the Hazbin Hotel!" I say with a smile to which everyone cheered to that while Lucifer holding Kiki, Charlie's Cat/Key to both Hell and the Hazbin Hotel and handed her back in key form to her.

"Go ahead Charlie, do the honors." He said to which Charlie beamed before going over to the front doors and opening the Brand New Hazbin Hotel for the first time as she let us in and let everyone into the hotel to see the new sights we all worked together to create.

I smiled slightly and sighed, "Guess I will have to keep that promise." I muttered to myself as the good in my daughters heart was never snuffed and still hoped with all her heart to make redemption a reality.

Now we just got to figure out if it's real or not, but that's something I would learn for sure in the future when I decided someone needed to pay their dues once and for all.

But for now, "I need a Vacation." I muttered for myself while I smiled seeing the happy look on Charlie's face all while I looked out the window to see heaven way above our heads.

"Ahh…. I can finally relax completely for the first time in millions of years…." I say laying on a beach chair while I enjoyed the perpetual Twilight sky here in Envy.

"Are you really going to keep that promise? I must say I'm rather disappointed in you if you are." I heard a familiar voice before a bubbling of blood and corruption came out from Envy's sea before the familiar figure of Roo appeared before me.

"Oh lay off it, you should look more closely at the fine print then." I said before blood red scroll appeared with golden holy writing making the contract signed by both me and Micheal in particular, a deal we made while the Hotel was being rebuilt.

"I Cain swear upon my Soul that I Shall Not Lead the March a Heaven for all of Eternity, and in exchange for this, I, Archangel Micheal, under the purview of our Lord and Father swear to end the exterminations in hell, allow for the Hazbin Hotel to Attempt their Redemption project and have the High Seraphim Sera stripped of her position as primary leader of Heaven and shall await Judgement between both the leaders of Heaven and Hell for the crimes she has committed and what may be fall her when said Judgement is made."

I said reading out everything that was written down before looking at it and passing it to her, "Just look at the part that I agreed to and you'll know how I tricked them in this deal." I said with a smirk as I leaned back and relaxed in my beach chair.

Roo looked at it again for a moment before her eyes slightly widened as she grinned at what she saw, "I see, so that's your loophole in that deal, those angels for all of their long lives they lived they have no idea of how binding or loose a contract can be." She said before returning it back to me.

The ground began to bubble and surge with blood and corruption before she began to disappear and leave me be, "Question is, who are you going to have lead in your stead?" She said before leaving me to my own devices and relaxation.

"Heh…. A certain dragon would be more than willing to take up the mantle as the leader of this 'Black Parade'." I mutter before I begin to relax and wonder what I shall do for the future to come.
