Doctor Einstein, his heart a drumbeat of hope, watched as Kiara's eyes flickered open and then shut, like the wings of a butterfly caught in a fleeting moment of light.
As she opened her eyes once more, her gaze, like a searchlight, swept across the room, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings. Her brows furrowed, a silent question lingered in the air.

"You're not at the hospital," the doctor said, noting her confusion. "I thought it would be best to bring you here, where you can recover in peace."
