Chapter 23: A call to pick or not
Lucy grinned evilly as she heard a voice coming from the phone. "I have delivered the gift," the husky voice said. "This is just the beginning."
Lucy tried to contain her excitement. "This is just the start of your downfall, Kiara," she whispered, as she ended the call. This was all going according to plan, and soon, Kiara would be a ruined woman.
"How did it go?" Aubrey asked as soon Lucy drops the call, her voice full of anticipation. She had been waiting for Lucy's feedback, and her nerves were frayed with worry.
"It was a success," Lucy replied, a cruel smile playing on her lips. "Soon, Kiara will be out of Enzo's life for good." She put her phone back in her purse, her heart racing with excitement at the thought of her plan working.
