Her whole body was frozen with fear, though she was cold, she could feel her sweat dripping from her face.
"What kind of a dream was that?" She gulped.
She looked around, the words of that werewolf came playing in her head, "This.. dream, it was just as he said." She bit her lips.
"Maybe he is trying to play with my head. I should not think so much about this, I should be calm and focus." She sighed, wiping her sweaty face.
She lay down to sleep again but felt odd, she did not feel right. This dream was giving her a bad feeling.
She tried shaking it off, but it did not work. She exhaled deeply and got down from the bed.
She went to the kitchen to have a drink of water, to calm herself down and to quench her burning thirst.
"This is the strangest dream I have ever had and I don't feel right about it." She shook her head.
She wanted to go outside but Oberon had forbidden her to go out at night for the fear she would meet the strange werewolf again. Even though he was gone, Oberon was still a bit sceptical.
She sighed and walked back to her room, she couldn't sleep so she went to the window to watch the stars from there.
The dream played in her head again, she was being dragged out of the palace and left to be by herself in the blinding rain.
She shook at the thought of that, "I do not know why, I am already feeling uncomfortable. What if this dream comes to pass?"
She quickly shoved that thought, "No, it can not happen, I hope it does not come true." She held her chest.
She couldn't sleep and there was nothing she could do, she really wanted to go outside so she sneaked out of the palace and went to the garden.
When she was out, she breathed a sigh of relief, she sat down on the chair, this was the only part of the palace that gave her the peace she wanted.
She closed her eyes and took in the moment.
"Mother?"
Her eyes flung open, she looked around but saw no one.
"Mother." The voice called again.
She stood up, "Where is that voice?"
"I am over here, this way." She turned her head to her side and found a child sitting on the ground.
She blinked in confusion, "Whose child is this?" She walked up to him.
"Mother." It smiled, his dimpled cheeks were giving.
She studied the child, it didn't look older than a year but it could talk fluently.
The child crawled to her and held her legs, "Mother, I am hungry." It made a face.
She opened her jaws in disbelief, "Mother? Me?" She looked around, "How did you get in here?" She picked the child up.
"I am your son, your child."
"I am not a mother yet, I am not even pregnant let alone birthed a child." She creased her brows.
He giggled and rested his head on her chest.
"Feed me mother, "I am so hungry." He opened his mouth.
She didn't know why but her heart went out to him.
"Of course." She smiled affectionately at him.
She headed back to her room, she couldn't pass the main entrance, so she just had to go through her window.
She got there and positioned the child on her window carefully. She was about to enter her room when the child disappeared.
She was startled and almost landed on the ground. She gripped the curtain and entered her room.
She gulped, "Where.. did he go?"
"I am right behind you mother." His gentle voice came from behind her.
She turned around, "What kind of a child are you?" She gawked.
She was even talking to a child which made no sense but it looked somehow a normal thing.
"I am your child, your son."
"But I am not pregnant."
"You will be, very soon. That child is going to be me." He replied calmly.
She covered her mouth with her hand, "How do you know that? Where did you come from? How are you even here?"
He didn't answer her questions, he just sat down and pointed to his mouth.
She quickly prepared cereals and mixed it with water.
She gave it to him and began to feed him. There was silence for a while as he eargerly ate the food. She fed with so much patience and there was this affection she showered on him.
When he messed up his clothes, she patiently cleaned him up. He gave her so much joy, she talked, laughed and played with him. He was her companion through out the night.
When it was almost daybreak, he said, "I must go now mother."
Her face dropped, "Why can you not stay with me?"
He giggled, "I will surely come back to you, there is no need to be sad."
She sighed, "If you say so."
"However mother, father might be hard on you in the nearest future, I just hope and pray you can rise up and pick yourself up again."
"Even you too?"
"It is the truth mother, soon the truth will be revealed and it will definitely break you. I will definitely come to you but will have no father." He said sadly.
She shook her head, "You should not think that way, I am sure Oberon will be a good father." She tried to persuade him.
He shook his head, "This is the truth, and it will hit us hard." He smiled, "But definitely they will be hope."
He got down from the bed and crawled to the wall.
"Until we meet again mother."
She shook her head, "No, wait, do not go." She stood up and tried to stop him.
He gave her his beautiful dimpled smile and slowly vanished out of her sight.
"My child! Wait!" She screamed.
Oberon opened the door, "Nyx?"
