School restart in three weeks. Xue Qin took flight back to school to her surprise, Nan Qin is on the flight too. Even in different class on flight, he finds time to drop by to check on her. Upon arrival, he drives her to school and he head of to his destination.
School becomes alive with the chatty students. Talking about what they did. Who they met. What they have been doing. Xue Qin the quiet one always waits for everyone to talk. She listens and laugh when there is something funny. She even ask questions. Everyone likes her. However everyone thinks that she is too poor to go anywhere or do anything. Xue Qin don't bother to correct them. She doesn't like to attract attention.
Days turn to weeks to months. On her graduation Ceremony, Mr Gu and Nan Qin attended with bright smiles on their face. She ended her school days and return back to home.
Before she return to school she had grow flowers in her garden, they had bloom. At night she stands in her garden of flowers. She closed her eyes to breath in the fresh air. Her long dark hair dances along with the wind. The moon that hangs in the sky shines gently. "May everyday be peaceful."
Xue Qin starts to work n the company that her parents had established. Mr Gu wanted her to work as the CEO however she protest that she needs to understand the company and climb up the ladder. Therefore she enter in the workforce on entry level. She watch, hear and learn from her surroundings. Her work desk is on the fifth floor. Occasionally Mr Gu will walk pass in pretending to get coffee. "Funny the coffee on this floor is the only tasty one in this whole building"
"Mr Gu in this case should i bring the coffee machine up to your office?"
"Heng Yi, no. I need some exercise too. Moving around will be good for me. Besides that i can see what the staff have been doing."
Mr Gu take a look at Xue Qin. They can't help but to secretly smile. Mr Gu continue to walk away slowly with his coffee mug while asking questions to the secretary. Xue Qin continue to work till time to get off. "Xue Qin do you want to join us for dinner?"
"Where are you going?"
"There is a famous hot pot restaurant. Geng Ting will drive us there. Come with us!"
"Ok. Sounds interesting. Let me text my family that i am going to eat with you all."
"Do that while walking to the car. Come i take your handbag."
Fourty minute later, they drive and reached the hotpot restaurant. There is a queue outside, They chased while waiting. While talking, she felt that she need to look to her right side. She see that stranger that she saw many years ago in the car just outside the queue she is in. He too is looking at her intensively. The traffic light change colour and cars are horning behind him. The lady passager besides him nudge him to start the car. Just like that, he drives off and she continue to queue for her dinner. She smile bitterly and think to herself. "There won't be a chance of encounter to meet him again.'
A year pass, Xue Qin works now as a department head for projects. Nan Qin naturally helps her out whenever they meet up. The staff soon catch up with the energy of the two person and concluded that they are dating. Mr Gu is naturally not happy hearing it. Email is sent out to squash the staff from talking further.
Dinner time at home Mr Gu announced "This Sunday i hope that everyone will be free. We are going for a family meeting on a future prospect in law for Mei Qin. So i hope that we can meet them at the hotel. The revenue and time, i will inform everyone later."
"congratulations Mei Mei."
"Thank you Xue Qin. I have meet up with him a few times with him and his mother. I think he likes me a lot."
"Of course! My daughter is the best! Best that Mei Mei is bought up so well with my careful teaching. Of course she is so pretty!"
"That is enough. You praise her too much the gods will not like it." Mr Gu said while stuffing his mouth with food.
"Well good luck to him. Marrying you needs a lot of money."
"Ger ger! How can you say that! I am not a money minded person!"
"Nan Qin how can you say your sister like that? Mei Mei isn't those mindless girl who spend money."
"Mother don't kid yourself. What she is like, you know best."
"ENOUGH enough! Having a meal is so difficult these days."
Xue Qin watch the family squirrelled on the dinning table. If her family members are alive, will this lively conversation happen o this dining table too?
After dinner, she take a walk in her garden. Tonite they smell so fresh and the moon is shining bright. She close her eyes and make a wish to the moon. She then open her eyes and smile. "Be happy, always"
The day of the families to meet up comes. Chaos is in the mansion. Mei Qi is screaming for her clothes and makeup. Her mother panic and running everywhere for things that don't exist. Mr Gu reading the newspaper calmly. Nan Qin playing with his phone while yelling. Only Xue Qin is painting in her room with =out disturbances. When finally everyone is ready to go, the servants hurry to Xue Qin's waiting room. She haven't change at all. Mrs Gu then suggest that they go ahead first whenever Xue Qin is ready, then the chauffeur will pic her up. Xue Qin did not intend to get ready at all. She continue to paint till she is satisfied.
That night they all came home with much joy. Mrs Gu did not scold Xue Qin for not turning up. She is so happy that her daughter is going to marry into a rich family. Xue Qin is satisfy how things are going. She smile even more for her cousin who found someone whom she can love.
