Chapter 48 - Justinian's Current Troubles.

(This chapter turned out to be more of a conversation between Justinian and those he considers family. Good to show his mental state and what he is thinking off.)

Justinian didn't get up from his giant couch as he was still managing everything through his link to Soundwave. His A.I was linked to every system in the Imperium from Mercury to Pluto. Justinian could manage every issue in The Imperium by splitting his mind into several thought threads that Soundwave would talk to for more serious choices.

Everything that needed Justinian's input was still under his control so even if he extended his vacation by another year nothing would go wrong. However, he wasn't the lazy kind so he sat up a bit as he didn't want to bother Lauralina too much. As she was the head of The Inquisition she was also busy a lot of the time so she needed this rest as much as he did.

Though as he sat up Remnosh put down her book to look up at him. This vacation had been going on for about 6 months and that seemed like a long period of inactivity.

"You want to cut our vacation short?"

Instantly Magna, Leona, and Sanguinia glanced over at him asking him if that was the case. They would be fine with that, as while vacations were good for rest, they were all warriors so too long felt stuffy.

"Maybe, We have nothing big to do just yet. The Colonies on Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto are all operational, they are paying their tithes. Erda and Soundwave are keeping a close eye on all of the colonies so we can keep relaxing."

Remnosh nodded as she sat up a bit.

"That is good. I quite like the peace plus all of us have a habit of staying in our Power Armor for years. A time out of the things is nice too."

Leona scoffed with a perpetual scowl on her face.

"How is that our fault? The stuff cleans us, we don't need to go to the bathroom, and we are all damn immortal. Plus, it is tactical."

Magna looked up from her book with a smile.

"I can agree since our Power Armor is soul-bonded to us. It just makes sense for us to wear it all the time. If not for us being a bunch of immortals, it is stuffy."

Sanguinia smirked as she glanced over at Justinian.

"Then again, it is your fault this happened."

He raised an eye brow.

"My fault? How is it my fault?"

Instantly Remnosh, Lauralina, Magna, and Leona glanced at him with squinted eyes. He was the one to start the whole tradition of wearing Power Armor at all times. He grumbled which just made the blonde smirk wider.

"Sure, it is all my fault."

Just as Justinian waved his hand to turn on the TV to watch some Earth TV. While he and his ladies enjoyed the downtime they had, he sensed someone entering his personal abode. He knew it was Ddraig, but if Ddraig was here, it meant she was here.

"UNCLE EMPY!"

Running inside was a small girl with bright red hair, a pair of dragon horns, and a wagging crimson tail. She looked to be around 4 years old with bright blood-red eyes and she jumped straight at him.

She slammed into his chest with enough force to shatter a human, but he barely felt it. He smiled as he looked at his niece, the daughter of Ddraig. Albion had no desire to reproduce, but Ddraig had built his own Harem.

As a Red Dragon, it was obvious that Ddraig would do that. He named his daughter Eldora and she was his only daughter with her Mother being a White Martian Elite, specifically a Lord Inquisitor working for Lauralina.

This girl was a White Martian Dragon Demigod with her Father being Ddraig The Dragon God of Domination. Speaking of Ddraig the proud Father himself walked in dressed in an all red suit. His red beard, red hair, and red eyes made him look quite sharp if Justinian had to say so.

"Justinian, my brother it has been a while."

That was the biggest load of bullshit since Ddraig, Justinian, and Albion were always in contact. Their souls were always linked meaning they couldn't get away from each other even if they wanted to.

Remnosh, Lauralina, Magna, Sanuignia, and Leona all turned to look at Eldora who was in Justinian's arms with rapidly growing smiles. Kids were adorable and she was especially adorable. Plus, it was a rare chance to see Justinian act softly.

"Eldora my sweet niece, did you miss your Uncle and your Aunties?"

She nodded as she wrapped her arms around his thick neck.

"Daddy and Mommy say you are all busy. Is it true or do you not want to see me?"

Remnosh sat up dropping her book to ruffle her hair.

"Yes, your Uncle is The God Emperor so he does a lot of important work."

Eldora smiled as she looked at her aunt Remnosh. Her dad called her the Emo chick but told her to never say that. She glanced around looking for her other uncle.

"Where is Uncle White? Daddy said he is with Uncle Empy."

Albion who did not have an avatar at the moment was simply relaxing in the Divine Dividing created one and appeared in the room. Just like Ddraig, he was in a bright white suit having an angelic, but heavely masculine body and face.

"Child, my name isn't White, my name is Albion. Ddraig, what have you been teaching her."

Eldora jumped out of Justinian's arms and went to hug Albion's legs.

"Uncle."

Albion cleared his voice as he picked her up.

"Hello Child."

While Leona, Magna, Lauralina, and Sanguinia went to Eldora, Remnosh turned to Justinian who was now sitting up. She leaned in and whispered into his ear.

"Want one?"

She kissed his cheek, but he turned to look at her with a funny look.

"Did you forget I am infertile?"

Leona who heard that turned her head with a slight scoff.

"You are a liar and a bad one, with your Biomancy you could have fixed that ages ago. You just don't want to."

Ddraig and Albion began shaking their heads as they looked at the current headache of Justinian. While his wives didn't want to have children now, they wanted them in the future. Justinian though was extremely worried about what his children would do to take his throne.

While he was confident in himself, he didn't know if Fate would make it destined for his son or daughter to kill him. Sure, he would never be abusive or eat his children, but the worry was there.

Seeing how he was strangely quiet, Leona lowered her head. He was her Emperor before her mate, so she felt she still had to watch herself.

"Forgive me, I misspoke."

He sighed as he sat back looking up as he thought of his situation.

"No, you didn't. Once I accepted you, you stopped being beath me. You are right that I could reverse it easily. It is just, I will admit to being worried. I am confident in everything I do, but children are an unknown.

You can raise a child with love and they can still turn out as a monster. Then you got to take into account that we are all very twisted."

Lauralina looked away and began to whistle while Remnosh merely smiled. Leona and Magna chuckled as that was the common trait between Martians. Burning Martians were even worse as they were all quite insane.

Even Sanguinia for all her jocking tones could go blood-crazed in an instant. As he was in deep thought, Magna walked back to his side and began to rub his shoulders.

"I can see why you fear having kids, knowing us our children do have a chance to come out worse than us. However, isn't it the job of a parent to make sure that doesn't happen."

He looked above him at her face.

"I won't lie and say that Lauralina is a sane individual and would probably create a Demon of a Child, but you are The God Emperor. You are the strongest of us all, so powerful you can do things no one else can.

You are a Perpetual, almost impossible to slay and you fear your offspring more than other powerful beings?"

Justinian thought about it carefully as she made some good points.

"I understand, fearing what may happen is a good way to end up paranoid. And I always make it clear we should not become like the Imperium of old, we should be better."

"That is what I said."

He turned his head as in the room Erda the Avatar of Mars itself appeared. She still looked the same as before pitch-black hair, bright golden eyes, a luscious body, and was over 9 feet tall. That made her shorter than Remnosh, Sanguinia, Lauralina, Leona, and Magna who were all between 10 and 12 feet.

As for Justinian, he hadn't changed his height purposely, but he was 14 feet tall now as he had done some growing.

"Erda."

She walked over to Albion and picked up Eldora from his hands.

"Hi, sweetie."

"AUNTY!"

Erda hugged her tight and spun her around as Eldora was beyond spoiled. She was the niece of Justinian and Albion, daughter of Ddraig, and a Lord Inquisitor meaning the entire Inquisition led by Lauralina made sure she was always safe and happy.

Erda, the living consciousness of Mars loved her and Justinian himself treated her like his own daughter. She might as well be Princesses of The Imperium at the moment.

Justinian stood up from his couch as he decided to let fate decide.

"You all wore me down, someday in the future, I guess I do want my own daughter. How about you Albion?"

Albion was aloof, but he was still a Dragon so he just had not found the right female.

"I want a son."

Ddraig scowled as he looked at his friend and rival.

"Keep the brat away from my daughter."

Albion rolled his eyes as he wanted to punch Ddraig, but Eldora was right there.

"He doesn't even exist and you are already defensive? Way to trust your brother?"

Ddraig scoffed as sat down.

"I trust you, not your offspring."

Albion snarled as he walked off in annoyance. Dealing with Ddraig after he became a dad was annoying. As he walked off in a huff Justinian merely shook his head at that.

"Honestly Ddraig, how you got lucky to have a kid is beyond me. Magic can only do so much since Dragons have trash reproduction. You are also a Dragon God and your partner was a White Martian Elite. How you got the one in a billion chance is beyond me?"

Ddraig shrugged.

"Just good luck I guess. Then again, Justinian, you helped me. You used your Biomancy to give us a better chance. Were you planning on doing that the whole time?"

As he said that, Justinian's ladies covered their mouths to hide their smiles. He cleared his voice as he may have made that spell for himself. Before the paranoia of having a Zeus or Orion who was fated to kill him snuffed that plan out.

Plus, the DC universe was not safe with the kind of beings who ran around. They could put his children in danger or use them against him.

"Sadly, I won't be having kids until I am sure they are safe. If I need to, I will take us out of this universe to have them somewhere safe. As such, until this entire universe is under control, I can't risk it."

Ddraig pointed at Eldora.

"What about her? She is safe and who is getting past all of us? What can get past me, Albion, what can get past you? Not much with all the broken cheats you got. Plus, your vast limitless armies. Are you still paranoid?"

Justinian paused as right now everyone was looking at him. He sat himself down and he crossed his arms while tapping at his arm.

"Why do you all have to be so damn right?"

He sighed as he turned to his ladies.

"I guess Ddraig does have a point, I am not just paranoid of my children themselves, but what could happen to them. Why does being The Emperor have to be like this sometimes?"

Remnosh grabbed his chin and pulled his head to look at her.

"Because that is what happens when you rule. Don't worry about it as while having a baby sounds nice, I do not want the trouble."

Lauralina nodded as she had to think about her mental state. Not very sane.

"I do agree it sounds like a good idea, but why put ourselves at risk? What is waiting a few more centuries to a millennia? As Magna said, we are all kind of insane, so maybe we get that sorted out before we dare bring children into this messed up universe."

Justinian nodded.

"Most logical thing I heard all day. Regardless, vacation is over."

The moment he said that Lauralina, Sanguinia, Remnosh, Magna, and Leona stood up as their Power Armor appeared. He did the same as his Shadow Stalker Power Armor appeared on him.

When his soul-bounded suit appeared he felt a sense of comfort as the powerful suit was back. He could feel his energies flowing into the living Auramite as an extension of himself.

"I missed this sense of comfort."

Seeing the massive sets of Power Armor Eldora jumped out of Erda's arms before running toward Justinian. She flew up into the air for him to carry her. She hugged his armor as she had been wanting one since she saw it for the first time.

Justinian in his Power Armor was the first thing she saw when she was born as he delivered himself wearing it. It became a core memory of her's causing her obsession with his Power Armor.

Justinian for the first time in a while sent a psychic message to his Honor Guard. They were all relaxing as well, but that was put to an end.

'Attention my Companions and Honor Guard. Our well-earned vacation is over, it is time to return to the Great Crusade.'

The moment he said that all 50 of his Honor Guard Burning Martians stopped what they were doing. They summoned their Power Armor again, and they began to gather. As for Justinian and his ladies, he prepared to Teleport to his Crystal Throne.

"Let The Great Crusade begin."

Now, his vast armies would spread through the Galaxy as they would force civilizations to join the Imperium or be annihilated. Terra still had another 6 years and in those six years, they better be ready as they were already surrounded. All according to Justinian's plan.
