Paleocene, Age of Enlightenment

Narrator

In the tapestry of time, four epochs have woven , christened the "age of enlightenment," marked the genesis. Once, people and creatures shared a common existence. Yet, the god of light, benevolent and discerning, favored them with wisdom, elevating them to the echelons of superior beings and inaugurating an era of enlightenment. Millennia unfolded in harmonious coexistence, birthing evolution and transformations that shaped cultures, languages, and religions, all centered around the enigmatic ecclesia.

In the age-old realm of Bugiotia, under the radiant tapestry of stars, Porphyria Velatae emerged into the world, her visage marred by a mysterious clover-shaped scar. Despite her inherent beauty, society, blinded by superficial judgments, deemed her worthless and cast her aside. Enduring the cruelty of both family and community, Porphyria became an outcast in a world that failed to perceive her true essence.

At the tender age of fifteen, Porphyria's destiny took a fateful turn when she encountered a divine presence, becoming the first mortal ever blessed by a God. Infused with unparalleled powers over life and death, her knowledge of flora surpassed even the ancient sages revered for their cosmic wisdom. In a patriarchal ecclesia that confined women to mere child-bearers, Porphyria emerged as the inaugural healer, challenging the oppressive norms and unveiling the latent magic within her.

In the realm of mystic battles, Porphyria, the gifted healer, was summoned to mend the wounds of Kaiseus, a valiant knight of the ecclesia, wounded in a fierce struggle against a legion of demons. As the tendrils of fate wove their enchanting threads, the knight found solace in Porphyria's care for three moons, and amidst the shadows of adversity, love blossomed between them. Porphyria, unaccustomed to such affections, questioned why a noble and gallant man like Kaiseus would choose her. Yet, when he knelt with a proposal of marriage, she embraced the unexpected harmony fate had orchestrated.

In the enchanted dawn of her marriage to Kaiseus, Porphyria reveled in bliss, and their union bore the extraordinary Acklomane, gifted with the ominous power of death. Together, they orchestrated the downfall of Lakme, the former ecclesia head, propelling Kaiseus to the revered position of pope. Porphyria, wielding her mystical abilities, fueled his rise to sagehood. Yet, beneath the facade of love and servitude, a dark betrayal unfolded. Imprisoned in a subterranean abyss, she endured a decade of torment at Kaiseus's hands, even her daughter spared no mercy. Emerging from captivity, she left behind a trail of lifeless bodies, becoming a fugitive concealed in shadows until she forged Velatae, a sanctuary born from the ashes of her past.

In the age of shadows, the ecclesia's iron grip subdued women, deeming them mere "breeders." Treated as chattel, they faced relentless abuse, with some succumbing to the horrors of constant mistreatment. Amidst this darkness, Porphyria emerged as a beacon of hope, sheltering those who fled oppressive bonds, imparting the arcane wisdom of flora. These resilient women, branded the *prima maleficae* (first witches), found refuge in Velatae, a haven that burgeoned into a structured society. Chiefs rose to oversee residents, forming the formidable *Colligentia Potestatis*, the heart of this mystical sanctuary.

Velatae flourished, an oasis of prosperity, until the malevolent demon Vampoirye descended, casting a sinister shadow over its peace. Threatening the lives of the Maleficae, Vampoirye instilled fear in the heart of Velatae. Porphyria, undaunted, waged a fierce battle, harnessing her life essence to defeat and seal the demonic invader. With the last breath drawn in that epic confrontation, Porphyria's legacy transcended mortal boundaries. Her daughter, Acklomane, rose as the new head of the Maleficae, carrying the torch of her mother's indomitable spirit in the continuing saga of Velatae.

"The spirits of vampoirye found themselves bound within the Sanctum Caelum by the enchanting prowess of the witches. As misfortune befell the coven, the veil of velatae unraveled, drawing the attention of a relentless ecclesia under the leadership of Kaiseus. The witches, in their struggle, faced a harrowing fate at the hands of the ecclesia—haunted, violated, and torn asunder. Even the female outcasts in Bugiotia couldn't escape the haunting shadows. In a desperate bid for self-preservation, the Council of Witches, guided by Porphyria's daughter Acklomane, orchestrated the Ars Magica Mortalis, where they melded the corpus of a deceased mortal with the anima of vampoirye, birthing a creature they christened the Strigoi."

In the mystical realm, witches sought restoration through an ancient rite, demanding humans undergo a *transformatio sacrum* in exchange for healing. This sacred transformation unfolded within the *sacrarium caelum* performed by the enigmatic *colligentia protestatis*using the blood of the strigoi, birthing the Vampyres. Acklomane, in a malevolent twist, cast a soul-suppressing curse on both strigoi and Vampyres. This curse ensured loyalty, shackling the Vampyres' powers and rendering them as bound servants to the whims of the witches.

Empowered by the ominous strigoi and a formidable army of vampyres, the witches triumphed over the ecclesia, establishing themselves as the supremes in the inaugural epoch. In a vengeful act, Acklomane, seizing power, beheaded her father, earning the titles of "Papaecida" and "Mortifer." Her reign heralded the dawn of the second epoch, shrouded in thrilling fantasy.
