Katelina felt drained after performing the dragon bond between Cora and Aurum. She practically swayed as she walked back, but Ezekiel immediately caught her in his arms. "Oh," she gasped when he suddenly carried her bridal style.
"I can walk," she whispered to him. "No, I'll carry you back. You nearly drained your energy, and I can feel how weak you are right now through our bond," Ezekiel pointed out.
Well, she was indeed feeling weak, so she just hid her face in his chest to hide her embarrassment because eyes were on them. She could even hear some whispers about how she and Ezekiel looked so perfect together. Fortunately, they were all positive comments.
"I'm glad Cora finally accepted Aurum," Katelina hummed with a smile. The dragon bond was successful because Cora finally opened her heart to accept Aurum as her dragon.
