Chapter 22: YOU CAN'T BE DESPERATE
"What? That's not possible." She gasped and turned to several pages of the report. She picked up the phone and rang her secretary who then appeared within two minutes. "What the hell is going on?" She quickly asked the secretary who then relaxed a bit.
"It's a report on the supervisor assigned for the South Bay project. He dropped after the financial department refused to transfer the funds meant for the project to him." She reported.
Huh?
Lily thought she had heard wrongly as she quickly asked the secretary to leave and started calling Williams. "Williams, what took you forever to answer? Did you drop the project just because you weren't in charge of funds?" She asked him and he hung up the phone.
