When Ariana opened her eyes again, she was greeted by the bright light of the all-white room lights. The girl heard several footsteps coming towards her. Ariana slowly changed her gaze and saw Emilio, Melisa, and Alister approaching her with a look of surprise and relief on their faces.
"Ah, I'm still alive."
That's what Ariana immediately thought when she realized that she was in the hospital all this time. Ariana's heart was squeezed when she saw Emilio crying and holding her hand tightly. Although Emilio didn't say anything, Ariana knew he was the most thankful one when she was awake.
"You're finally awake, Ariana," Emilio said in a trembling voice. The man bit his lip hard. Even though Emilio had agreed to attend counseling sessions aimed at reducing his unhealthy obsession with Ariana, Emilio still felt like he was suffocating when he saw that Ariana had regained her thinness in just a few days.
