The next day, the truck Mike sent arrived; Roxy and her team uploaded the boxes of jewelry and perfume. It drove off carrying her products, and after some time, she told her team to go home.
Roxy called Mike and told him about everything, considering he was her only friend. Mike laughed throughout the phone call; He laughed at her desperation, her confusion, her inner wound, and how dark her mind was.
Mike always wondered how he ended up with a twisted friend and how he was still retaining his clean mind. After the call, he placed his phone on his desk and stretched his arms. Mike pitied the poor soul that was going to be fooled by her. Mike could still remember when Roxy framed a girl with a teacher. There was chaos everywhere, and they had to investigate thoroughly and only found out it was fake; they couldn't find who started it.
The incident happened in high school; there were also some incidents before and after. Things went downhill, and she left school. Mike could only phone her. She was still the same sly and fierce girl from childhood.
After university, he got a job at a company that nourishes and helps talented people bloom as long as their products are the best.
Mike used their goal to take Roxy in after he learned of her hobby; he started working there two years ago, and he and Rozy are on their way to their third country.
A call came through, and Mike picked it up, standing up to confirm some orders.
Roxy went to the mall to get a bunch of cute clothes, the type her sister buys. She went through the underwear lane and picked twenty pieces of plain undies; went through the shoe lane and picked three canvas, four sandals with lace, two shoes, and three heels; went through the clothes lane and picked a variety of long skirts and top with some crop top and light jacket.
Roxy got home and started arranging her boxes; she spent the last day with her family because, by tomorrow morning, someone was coming to pick her up. Elsa helped her pack her box. She seemed a little down, but after some cheering, she brightened up.
The next day, Elsa left for college early to avoid any problems. The car came by as expected; it was a sedan limousine; the chauffeur took Roxy's box and placed it in the boot; she greeted him with a smile and appeared nervous.
The chauffeur drove a very long distance; we eventually got there, the gates into the compound opened, and he drove in and parked the car in the parking lot. Roxy got down and was in awe.
The maids took her and her box inside, and she passed by many security men guiding the house. Roxy got inside, her mind filled with admiration for the guy who lived there.
A maid took Roxy to a room and said. "That the room master picked for you."
"Oh, thanks." Roxy bowed a little.
The maid left to continue her duty; Roxy closed the room door and let out a suppressed shout of joy. Roxy looked through every corner of the room; after feeding her eyes, she arranged her clothes into the wardrobe and placed the shoes on its rack.
Roxy had a quick shower and slept off; she was woken by one of the maids. She put on a floral dress and went downstairs.
There, Roxy met the man she was going to marry.
The man had long, flowing hair that reached his neck, the strands cascading down in soft waves. His hair was a dark, rich color, with a few subtle highlights that caught the light. His piercing grey eyes were framed by thick, dark lashes, giving them a mysterious intensity.
His nose was flat and broad, giving his face a rugged and masculine appearance. But it was his lips that truly caught attention. They were full and sensual, with a slight smirk that hinted at a mischievous nature.
Though his clothes were modest, one could tell that he had a toned and fit body. His abs were hidden underneath the fabric, but a hint of definition could be seen. He carried himself with confidence and an air of sensuality, making heads turn wherever he went. This man was a perfect balance of rugged masculinity and irresistible charm.
"Are you done starring?" He asked, his melodic voice reaching Roxy's ears.
She quickly snapped out of it and faked a cough.
"Are you okay?" He asked, and she nodded.
"Take a seat," He said, and Roxy drew a chair from the long table and sat facing him.
"Thanks," Roxy bowed.
"No need, please eat and make yourself comfortable." He smiled, causing her heart to beat.
"Oh," Roxy said and started digging in.
After Dinner, the maids packed the plates. I couldn't eat much to stay in Elsa's character. For once, she hated Elsa's character.
"I'm Xavier Ramirez," he said.
"That's a beautiful name." Roxy smiled.
"I'm sorry about being demanding." Xavier apologized.
"It's okay; after all, my father owes you." Roxy dismissed, waving her hands.
"C-Can I still go to college?" Roxy asked, hesitantly.
"Yeah, you can. I won't stop you from pursuing your goal." Xavier said.
"Thank you," Roxy said, happiness filling her eyes.
"I think I saw someone like you leaving the school gates." Xavier probed.
"That was my sister, Roxy; she wanted to help me," Roxy said, smirking internally *It seems we got a stalker, a handsome one at that*
"You know where I school?" Roxy asked innocently.
"A cousin of mine goes there, and I saw you passing by," Xavier said.
"Okay, can you introduce me to your cousin or tell me his name," Roxy asked, curious.
"It's not a guy; It is a girl, and her name is Effie," Xavier said.
"Effie, like Effie Lancaster," Roxy eyes widened with surprise, but lying in the depths was irritation.
Xavier nodded with a slight smile.
"That's my best friend; does she know about this?" Roxy asked, worried.
"She does, and she was the one who even introduced us," Xavier said.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I just remembered, you bought us a lot of stuff, thank you." Roxy bowed, feeling a bit comfortable.
"I thought you would have forgotten," Xavier said.
"I can't forget a family member of my best friend," Roxy said.
"I feel honored." Xavier smiled.
"I think it's pretty late; you should go to bed," Xavier said.
Roxy bowed and thanked him for the meal, retiring to her room with the help of a maid.
