...to protect you—another cliché phrase he's used to hearing in movies. When there's no reasonable explanation, those three words are deployed as a fallback.
He wouldn't settle for those words. At the very least, he needed some explanation from Lexi at this point. It had been weeks now and Levi still had no idea how this voice came into his head, or little did he know the voice had been tampering with his memory. Memories of when he, Levi Parker, had killed people?
