Aria rewinded again, causing them to break apart.
Levi stood on one leg and watched her recover herself, wiping her left cheek which was entirely red now.
She spat at blood and gripped her weapon tightly, changing the dual-bladed katana to a sickle. The hologram reshaped itself into a curve and solidified, the blue glowing like a precious gemstone.
Levi didn't change his, he loved his dual-bladed scythe.
He started to think and understand Aria's abilities and how they work. The time space for her rewind must be short, perhaps five or ten seconds, Levi thought. It's not at all very deadly, but if she times it well, she could get him to a moment where he was defenseless.
Levi sniffed. And he could never get himself to kill her, never. But she was determined to live even though it meant going against her morals. Levi groaned. It was unfair placing such a dilemma on the minds of teenagers.
