The silence followed them as they decided to rest on a field bench.
"Why would they do this?" Nate ranted, slumping on the bench.
"Greyson Corporation, they literally own the world," Box replied, folding his arms and placing one foot on the armrest of the bench. "They can do whatever they want, we're just their puppets."
"So, we're just living to die?" Paige asked.
Box raised a brow, almost laughing. "Actually, everyone lives to die but I understand your context and yes, we'll surely die one day in the name of The Academy."
"Fuck," Paige whispered to herself. She quickly got to her feet from the bench and turned to face them, pointing her fingers at the three boys. "If any of you get paired with me, you better lose for my sake!"
Box chuckled.
"Why are you laughing?" Paige asked, being dramatic. "I've noticed you are taking this very well. Are you used to people dying?"
