"You knew my father?" Levi asked.
[How surprising] Lexi had said ironically.
"You may be surprised, but I really did know your father," Meera said.
Lexi's irony was exactly what Levi wanted to blurt out at the moment. She's Sebastian's sister, so she should know about his father, she should know everything. Nothing seemed to surprise Levi again. It was mystery reveal after mystery reveal in this his endeavour.
"So you know how he died and who murdered him?" Levi asked.
Meera sighed and drove her hair back. "Yes I do, but please let me finish," Meera said quickly. "I don't want to miss a detail."
"I was your father's closest acquaintance on the Comeet project, his only acquaintance if I could say," Meera asserted. "Your father was a lone wolf, he loved to work alone. He made sure the construct only knew him and him alone."
"Is that why you stood by and let him get phased? Because he was a lone person?" Levi stated his question coldly.
