Ana's heart raced as they reached the stables, the familiar scent of hay and horses filling her nostrils. She couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over her, knowing that she was one step closer to safety. The midwives helped her onto one of the horses, their movements quick and efficient. "Come we must stabilize her body....She is still bleeding....pack the child gently and wrap him on her back..." The lead midwife quickly ordered the women around as they worked in unison. As they rode out of the castle gate, she gripped the horse's mane tightly, her knuckles white from the strain. "Fast!"
The pain was unbearable, she could feel her body screaming in protest as the horse galloped through the dark forest. She could hear the midwives talking to each other in hushed tones, their voices filled with worry and determination. "Let's take the turn up ahead! I saw the Elynorian knights stationed there earlier!"
