Leon felt it was the longest one minute of his life.
His hazel eyes stayed at Naia's as she looked at him, and he wondered what she was thinking about.
He was patient for a couple of moments, but she was taking a while to ponder, making Leon even more tense as the seconds passed by.
Would she reject him?
Was he too rash?
Did she think he was too poor? No. Naia wasn't like that.
Leon, though, was overthinking things.
Naia just stared at Leon's eyes, appreciating the sincerity and love she could see through there.
Her heart warmed and beat a little faster and she thought, this must be what falling in love meant, right?
Anyway, she was never proposed to before so she didn't know that she had to answer immediately.
But when she saw Leon was about to cry from nervousness her eyebrows furrowed. She held his cheek. "What's wrong?"
"Do you want to be my wife or not?!"
She blinked. "Why wouldn't I?"
