Chapter 77 - Burden

Brunch was a combination of hotdogs, eggs, and rice. It was a super simple meal compared to what she was used to, but she ate with gusto regardless.

The trio talked a lot as they ate as well, with grandma being very chatty. 

First, it was about Naia. Grandma asked about her and she told her what she told Leon—that was, she was finding her way home.

"Oh, poor thing. Eat more," the old woman said, very gentle, and Naia felt warm.

During this chatter, she found out there were only two of them in the house, with his father—the fisherman—passing away a few years ago due to an accident.

Apparently unable to handle the stress of his death, his mother left them shortly after. 

Grandma was a bit of an oversharer and ended up ranting about that shameful daughter-in-law of hers. "The wise saying of a man's stability greatly depends on his woman was too accurate! Sadly, all that woman caused us was pain.
