Leon's breathing eventually evened out (well, relatively) as he continued to pat the girl's back.
It was really shaped so differently from his. And she was so soft, too. She must feel good to hug tighter.
"You do know where your home is, right?" he asked. He promised her a place to stay, but they couldn't be stagnant in finding her way home—especially not when she actually wanted to go home.
She paused, shaking her head in the end. "My home is on an island," she said, recalling Thaddeus' assumptions. "I don't know where it is…"
"So you have no idea how to get back home, then?" he asked. He was hoping they had some clue or something.
She blinked, looking at him. "I was told I need to be heard all over."
"..."
What? Was she sent from some kind of fantasy mission like in the RPGs his peers played?
He mused this jokingly, but he had no idea how close to the truth he was.
