Chapter 7 - Rescued

It took a couple of grueling minutes to reach his boat and he immediately put her on his back. He used a hand to keep her arms around his neck, keeping her stable, while the other hand grabbed the sill of the boat, lifting them both up to the hull.

Thaddeus had trained his body for long hours under the sea, so he was naturally not weak.

He was already standing on the boat by the time the skipper got there, which startled him.

"Sir?!"

The Skipper, aptly named Skipper, was very shocked to see the boss carrying a blue-haired woman with him! Where was this?

He was in the middle of the sea, right?

And didn't they say his boss didn't handle women very well? Well, he looked very gentle right now!

They even headed straight to his bedroom!

Boss bringing a beautiful naked woman into a private room naturally made the lad's mind run on various tangents.

Thaddeus made no notice of his employee's various thoughts and frowned when he realized the boat wasn't moving.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING STANDING THERE?" He roared, making the lad flinch. "GO BACK! NOW!"

"Y-Y-YES, SIR!"

Thaddeus heaved a deep breath as he entered the room. He immediately placed her on the bed. He quickly took off his gear, revealing a handsome man with dark hair and green eyes.

He immediately performed CPR on her as soon as he could, hoping to get her breathing again.

He pushed down the strange feeling when their lips touched or when he touched the softness on her chest, focusing on the task at hand.

"Breathe," he whispered, as he continued with his compressions. He counted each one with precision, intent on bringing her back to life.

When she gasped a bit, though unfortunately still unconscious, he felt like the weight of the world was lifted. His tense shoulder slumped in relief, and he finally allowed himself some respite.

He could feel his heart beating from nervousness and he realized his feet were a bit shaky from the tension. In the end, he decided to rest as he sat beside her, his head gravitating to the bare figure on the bed.

Due to his background, he was never one to be fond of women. He found studying sea creatures far more fascinating than the troublesome species.

But his eyes couldn't help but trace this strange woman.

Her face and body were perfect, seemingly sculpted by the gods, and there was simply something about her that was ethereally charming.

Then he realized the extreme inappropriateness of everything and he flushed to his neck in shame.

He turned around and found her a cover. He heated up some water in case she woke up, and he drove back home, trying to distract himself from these new types of thoughts.

Then he realized: She was still cold. Freezing. He didn't realize because he was wet before and she was breathing so peacefully—which she still was, but her temperature was definitely abnormal.

His heart beat wildly in nerves, thinking this boat ride felt much longer than usual.

Fortunately, Skipper soon alerted him that they had reached the private docks. Thaddeus nodded and took a coat to cover her with, dressing up simply himself, and he immediately jumped out as soon as the boat was safely docked.

He tried extremely hard not to focus on the extreme softness that touched his skin and just ordered the driver to head over to his villa—which was connected to the beach— immediately.

"Harold, call a doctor for me, please. Female."

"Master??" The old man asked, eyes widening at the sight of the unmoving figure in his arms. "What—"

"Just call her!"

"A-Ah yes!" the older man exclaimed, scurrying to get the phone, mind suddenly turning to goo in shock.

The master brought back a female!!!

Harold found his master to report that he had called for a female doctor. He felt startled to see his master just staring deeply at the woman lying on the bed.

He didn't even notice that he had arrived, which was rare as the master was usually very alert.

Harold cleared his throat. "Master."

The man turned his head and looked at him with an impassive expression. The old man gulped before proceeding with his report. "I have confirmed that the female doctor is on her way."

"Okay, thank you. Take her here as soon as she arrives," the young man said, his head immediately turning to look back at the woman, ignoring the old man again. Harold took it as his signal to go. However, before he closed the door, he couldn't help but give the master and the woman one more look.

His wise eyes couldn't help but stay on the woman, flimsily covered by whatever cloth the master could find.

"If I may ask… where did you…"

Not looking at him, Thaddeus answered, his eyes soft at the recollection. "I found her in the middle of the sea during my night excursion."

Harold's eyebrows met as if in disbelief. "You mean to say, you just found her, Master?"

In the middle of the sea? At night? Alive?

"Yes," he said, his lips tilting up a bit with a smile.

He just found her.

It was as if it was destined by fate.
