The next morning, Thaddeus was woken up by a gentle knock on the door.
He frowned and patted Naia—who was snuggling comfortably in his arms—back to sleep.
"Master?"
It was Harold's voice. Thaddeus' eyebrows rose, as the butler normally wouldn't bother him in the morning unless he said so.
He gingerly got out of Naia's hold (which was fortunately not tight this morning) and got his bathrobe on before opening the door.
"What is it?" He asked and the old man gave him a relatively thick brown envelope with the government's official logo at the back.
"We had been instructed to give it to you as soon as it arrived, so…"
"It's fine, thank you."
Harold was relieved, afraid the master would get angry at him for ruining his 'good deeds'. "Then shall I send breakfast then?"
