Capitol City, Many Years Ago
"Mother! Mother!!" A young five-year old Thaddeus ran to the house's interior. He was wearing an exclusive leather kid-backpack and the most expensive set of casual clothing money could buy.
As always, he went to greet his mother first and foremost, and today he happened to have good news—he got first place (again) and with extra points for extracurricular!
He had just gone home from a busy day at school, and was looking forward to showing his mother his results.
His mother had always frowned at home, but when he showed her his results she would always smile.
"Mother!!" he yelled, opening up the door to her lounge area. It was a large place with many sofas, tables, and a library. When she wasn't socializing outside, his mother would almost always be here.
"Mother?" he asked again, and asked again a few more times. He frowned when there was no answer and he didn't see anyone.
