Chapter 18 - Innocence

"I want you to know we are here to help you." Silvana said, as gently as she could, "But to do that we will have to communicate somehow."

The girl looked at her and nodded, her eyes exuded a sense of curiosity and innocence. Very beautiful.

"We're going to communicate in a simple way okay?" She said, handing a pen and paper. She wanted to try and see what the girl was going to do. 

Between them was the coffee table, and in front of the girl she drew two figures. One was a simple human drawing with spectacles and bunned hair. 

"This is me," Silvana said, pointing at herself. She then drew another female figure holding hands with her. "This is you, okay?" 

The girl looked at the drawing with fascination and held her hand. Silvana smiled, but after a while she handed the girl the pen and the paper, hopefully to draw as well.

Whatever she would draw, Silvana could make something of it.
