They left the Ob-gyn department in varying moods. As they left though, Naia's feet stopped and she looked at Leon and Grandma.
"Can I visit my friend?" She asked, "I won't take long."
"Your friend?" Grandma asked while Leon stared at her.
"He just got a heart transplant. He messaged me yesterday saying he's okay now and wants me to visit."
Leon narrowed his eyed. Messaging?
"Aaron did?"
Naia nodded. "Well, Alaric does too."
Leon's jaw clenched at the name. So they talk in messaging as well? Since when?
Grandma watched the exchange and then sat at a nearby bench. "You guys go ahead wherever you want to go, I'll relax here."
This made the couple turn to her. "Are you sure, grandma?"
"Yes, yes," she said, waving her hand.
Naia blinked and looked around, her eyes eventually fixing on the nearest vending machine.
Leon and Grandma watched as she went there, thinking she was just thirsty.
