During breakfast, the atmosphere lacked the usual warm ambiance. Su Liuying ate her meal with a preoccupied look, casting her eyes down, while Quan Tianyou occasionally glanced at her and noticed her mood was very low.
"Liuying, what are you thinking about?"
He asked her, but it seemed she didn't hear, as she didn't respond to him.
"Liuying!"
He called out again, and she finally snapped back to reality and looked at him, "What's wrong?"
"What's on your mind?"
"Nothing!"
"Then have some fish!"
Since Su Liuying was reluctant to talk, Quan Tianyou didn't press her. He naturally placed some fish in her bowl; he had noticed she was merely lowering her head and eating rice, probably not even tasting what she was eating.
"Thank you!"
She looked up and forced a smile at him, and he could tell it was somewhat strained, but he said nothing.
She cried even in her dreams, which indicated they were certainly sad ones, so he would not bring them up again.
"Mr. Quan!"
"Hmm?"
