"Yo! It's almost time to get off work!"
Su Liuying realized it was almost time to leave work, thought for a moment, and picked up her phone to call Quan Tianyou, but no one answered on the other end.
"Maybe he's busy!"
She smiled, hung up the phone, and sent a WeChat message to Quan Tianyou, telling him he didn't need to pick her up after work as she planned to meet with Tan Yanli for a chat.
She opened Tan Yanli's WeChat, browsed through her Moments, and saw that she hadn't posted any new updates.
"Yanli, where are you? I'll come find you after work!"
Su Liuying sent a voice message, pursing her lips, unsure if Tan Yanli would reply. She thought to herself that if there was no reply within five minutes, she would call Tan Yanli's phone.
"Liuying, I'm at the apartment!"
Less than a minute later, Tan Yanli replied to the message.
"OK, I'll head over after work, wait for me haha!"
Su Liuying replied to the message, sending a laughing emoji along with it.
