Su Liuying returned to her seat, took a sip of water, and placed the cup on the desk. She raised an eyebrow at the documents in front of her, then bent her head down and busied herself again.
Tony, holding a cup, walked out of the pantry and leaned against the wall corner, watching Su Liuying; from his position, only he could see her, while she couldn't see him.
The sorrow that once clouded her face when he first met her had faded, replaced by a subtle sense of happiness. The idea that this happiness was provided by another man caused his pleased fingers to tighten, gripping the coffee cup in his hand as if to crush it.
Engrossed in her work, Su Liuying suddenly felt as though someone was watching her. She looked up and glanced around but didn't see anyone staring at her.
When Tony saw her lift her head, he instinctively shrank back. As soon as she lowered her head to busy herself again, he slowly peeked out to watch her.
