"It has been a while, brother," said a man in a mischievous deep voice as they approached. Hearing him call Axel his brother made Lana gasp. Other than having blonde hair and blue eyes, he resembled him. He was handsome in his own way, whereas Axel was darkly handsome.
"What are you doing here, Draco?" he inquired, unperturbed by his present. Draco smiled as he relaxed his back on the couch. Lana noticed the tension between them, with Axel's usual icy look on his face and his brother grinning.
If one saw them, they would not believe they were siblings. Their personalities were complete opposites. His gaze shifted away from him and toward Lana.
"And who is this stunning lady? Do you actually work here?" He asked with a one-sided smile.
"None of your business." Axel cut in, making Lana feel uncomfortable as she stood there. She thought he would be upset, but he grinned and started laughing instead.
"You have not changed a bit, Axel; by now, I was expecting you to have gotten a girlfriend or a wife and then have children, but you are still that stone-hearted brother; seeing you like this would scare anyone away."
"Jane," he called.
"Yes, boss," she replied, bowing slightly to Drake, who had a warm smile on his face.
"Take his belongings and keep them in one of the guest rooms," he said without emotion on his face.
"Oh come on, Axel, you could have sent someone younger, besides the beautiful girl behind you; it is obvious she is your maid, so why don't you send her instead?"
"Like I said, it is none of your business, this is my mansion and my rules hold here," he shot back, glaring at him. However, Drake was amusing himself by laughing, which only made the situation worse.
"Why are you standing up for the girl, Axel? Besides, she is a maid, just like this lady. Isn't it unfair if she doesn't do it but this lady here does?" Draco inquired innocently; he certainly knows how to confuse or exhaust people with his pointless conversations.
"I will help you carry your belongings, sir." Lana finally spoke; she despised the heated tension between them, and it was about her and Jane. She could feel Axel frowning as his gaze bore into hers, and she knew she would get into a lot of trouble for it.
"Very well," he muttered, and while Lana carried his belongings, Jane showed them where his room is. When he opened his door after Jane gave him the key, Draco saw that his room was cleaner than he had anticipated.
"I have arranged your belongings, sir." Lana muttered, rubbing her palms together."Call me Draco," he said, flashing a dazzling smile that he knew he could use to entice any woman.
"But, calling you by name is forbidden; doing so will land me in trouble." She said, attempting to hide the fear in her voice, that she was afraid of what would happen if she was by herself with Axel and not because of the way Draco had asked her to address him.
"Please, I insist, okay? Call me Draco. Can you tell me what your name is? You are too beautiful to be a maid here." Lana blushed slightly at his words, but she was cursing herself behind her back.
"My name is Lana, and I am more than just a maid; I am Master Axel's personal maid," she replied, watching his expression of realization.
"No wonder he is so possessive of what he owns," he muttered, and thankfully, she could hear him.
"He doesn't own me; it is just fate, and it is not my fault," she insisted. She wondered why, despite being blessed with beauty, the brothers were attractive in opposite ways. Aside from his endearing demeanor and greater friendliness than Axel, Draco exuded the impression of a man who could break any woman's heart.
"I love hearing that, and since you claimed it, I would like you to prove it to me. Whenever I need you, you will respond; in addition, I can persuade my brother to let you go, and you will accompany me." Lana thought that sounded funny, but she pressed her lips together to keep from laughing.
"Your brother might not kill you, but if I did that, he would kill me right away. Please Mr Draco, excuse me; my master would be needing me." she mumbled heading to the door.
"Wait, Lana," he called, rushing to her, picking a piece of tiny paper from her head, and giving her a wink that made her stomach turn strangely.
"You can go, and I will see you later." He mumbled, and she dashed out of the room.
"So cute," he muttered, before putting his belongings in the empty closet he found. The guest room's elegance and beauty caught his attention as he looked around, and he was left in awe.
Lana noticed that Aries was not present in the living room. She felt scared as she made her way to the floor where Aries' room is located. She softly knocked and heard his voice inviting her inside. When she did, she discovered him inside, gripping onto a frame and smoking a cigarette. She expected to see an angry look on his face, but all she saw was blank expression.
"Master, I am sorry." His eyes left the frame he was holding to her as she apologized in a trembling voice, smugly exhaling cigarette smoke.
"I hope you entertain him perfectly," he said, his face expressionless.
"No, I only helped him drop his belongings and leave, nothing more," she replied.
"Why are you giving me more reasons to punish you, Lana?" Lana grasped her necklace and threw her gaze to the ground while twitching her fingers.
"What did I tell you about your personal rules, my maid? What is the first one?" he inquired, and she twisted her lips, attempting to recall the rules.
"I should not attend to anyone else unless you say so." Lana muttered, aware that she had broken the rule. She usually gets away with breaking the rules, but would she be able to get away with this one as well?
"I am glad you remembered so well. So, why did you break the rules?" He asked, standing from his chair and taking a few steps towards her, and she moved backward.
"I am sorry, master, I f-forgot about that. He was your brother, so I thought it would be disrespectful... "
"Disrespectful to me by following his orders instead of mine?" He muttered as he drew closer, and Lana felt as though she was being choked by his large frame, which towered over hers. His cologne filled her nose, and she could not get over how wonderful he smelled. It was sultry, seductive, and masculine.
"I know I have failed you, and I am so sorry. I will not fail or anger you again." She pleaded, unable to meet his gaze. He lifted her face to meet his, holding her chin gently but firmly at the same time. She could not help but stare into his eyes, finding them to be both intimidating and alluring.
He brought his face closer to her, his dark energy enveloping her.
"Is he attempting to kiss me?" she wondered in her head, her palm sweating and her lips quivering. She closed her eyes, waiting for the gentle kiss of his lips as he drew nearer.
"Never disobey me again, or else I will give Fiona the authority to treat you however you want, or do you want me to give you to her?" he inquired.
"N-no, please don't give me to her, i will be good." She replied, knowing that doing that to her was one of the best gifts Fiona could have hoped for. She was so disappointed in herself because she had assumed he would kiss her.
"What were your thoughts? You thought I would kiss you?" He scoffed as he asked, and seeing the blush on her cheeks, she felt slightly aroused and prayed for him to leave her alone.
"I was not thinking like that; you were getting too close, and I was uncomfortable. Oops! I am deeply sorry." She apologized, but he did not say anything. He was just staring at her, examining every part of her face, and he could not stop staring into those gray eyes of hers.
..Axel sat stoically at the dining table, while Lana stood a little apart from him. Despite trying to hide it, Lana looked tired. Draco, who sat at the other end near Fiona, was staring at Axel before moving on to Lana.
"Oh Drake, it has been a long time since I last saw you. I am so happy to see you." She squeaked so loudly Lana thought she was a mouse. She then gave Draco a hug, and he gave her one back, ruffling her hair like a child.
"I have missed you too, kid," he laughed, prompting Fiona to fake a frown. Despite the fact that she is an adult, he always addresses her as a child. Since she was a young teenage girl, he had teased her on a regular basis in that way.
"Axel, aren't you happy that Draco is back? I assumed he would never return after he had traveled. And, surprisingly, he came to see you. Stop wearing that expression on your face; it makes you appear old and ugly." She continued, but there was not a trace of emotion on Axel's face as he merely rolled his eyes and sipped from the champagne glass in his hand.
"Sometimes I wondered if he was my twin or father," he teased, eliciting a glare from him. Lana opened her mouth slightly as the thought of Draco and Axel being twins crossed her mind.
"Twins?" she murmured. Given their polar opposite personalities, she found it hard to believe they were twins. Axel was the quiet, quiet, dark, and mysterious type, while Draco was always the happy, mischievous, boisterous, and jovial type. Their personalities are also reflected in the way they look.
She studied their facial features while standing next to each other. Draco shared Fiona's blonde hair, blue eyes, and a nicely sculpted face that gave him a captivating appearance. His smile alone is astounding. Axel had jet black hair, dark eyes, a strong jawline that appeared sharp, a straight nose, and thin pink lips. He had a mysterious, seductive appearance that was both enticing and frightening.
"Having fun teasing me constantly?" he asked sarcastically, which caused Fiona to frown; despite knowing Axel for years, she could not understand him or why he was like this. He was protective as well as the kind of big brother who did not give a damn about what she did. He would occasionally burn her toys and threaten her if she irritates him.
She remembered how she could walk proudly down the hallway, with no one daring to stop her because of who her brother was.
"You are not being nice to Draco," she complained, pouting.
"Draco knows I do not like being nice to people," he said, ignoring the fact that Lana was simply standing there listening to their conversation.
"But you are always nice to her," she said, glaring at Lana, who stood frozen in place. She never expected to be dragged into their conversation.
"Really?" Draco inquired, seeming to be the one taking pleasure in the discussion.
"Isn't it obvious that she is the only maid standing here?"
"Is that why you were opposed to her guiding me to the room where I am staying?" Draco smirked as his gaze locked on Lana's.
"Do you like her, Axel?" He added.
