Hansel composed himself and took a deep breath. These demons must think he's being weak.
Varrine began to wake up, she was still very drained. She noticed Hansel and her instincts told her to get up and bow which she did in a hurry, but she fell face first.
"Ow," she cried out in pain, tears slowly welled up in her eyes. Hansel rushed over to her side worried as he helped her up.
"Are you alright?" he asked gently.
Varrine looked at Hansel in a daze. What is this she sees? Worry? "Forgive this low servant for her incompetence," she said her head hung low.
Hansel frowned. "Just sit," he said and she complied. He touched her forehead and noticed how she moved away from his touch. "Relax, I'm just checking how much you've recovered," he said calmly.
He checked her mana pool and saw it was still very empty. His eye turned red and he slowly transferred a bit of magic to her.
"If it feels uncomfortable, speak," he said to her. Magic transfer can be dangerous especially if the magic is uncompatible.
She looks very unhealthy. It hurts him to see his mentor's only descendant in poor conditions. He thought of an idea almost immediately. Since the Demon King has other relatives, one of them being Jezebel who is his younger sister, this girl could be the next ruler of the Demon Race.
When he noticed that her mana pool had a bit more magic he stopped, her face was a bit of color and he smiled. "There we go," he said happily.
"I don't un--" She wanted to say she didn't understand, but she held her tongue. He patted her head. "We are going to be leaving the house to get some clothes for you all," he said.
"In a world full of humans, we're not going to fit in," Lilith said.
"The humans in this world are too afraid to voice out their opinion in public," Hansel replied blankly. "There's nothing a little spell can't fix, appearance-wise," he said calmly as he drew a magic circle with his hand.
He's very familiar with this spell because he's used it several times in his past life. "Behavior doesn't matter," he said. "You can be classified under quirky," he said. "And people 'love' quirky people," he said sarcastically.
He realized they probably didn't know what he was talking about, so he coughed. "Anyway," he said in a bit of embarrassment. "Let's see what you look like as humans."

Jamie went to school with a heart filled with excitement. "You seem happy," Niel said. "Got yourself a new girlfriend?" he asked teasingly as he nudged Jamie.
"No," Jamie replied blankly. He wants to tell Niel, but this is his older brother's secret.
"There's only one other thing I can think of that can make you happy," Neil said. "Hansel did something special again."
Jamie giggled a bit. "Where's Annabelle?" he asked.
Niel raised an eyebrow at him almost questioning him, then he smirked. "Are you sure you don't like this girl?" he asked.
"No, Niel," Jamie replied. "We're just friends," he said.
'I feel bad for her... She clearly likes you,' Niel thought smiling. "I believe she's in her usual place in class."
Annabelle was reading a book when Blossom stood before her. "What is your relationship with Jamie?" she asked almost threateningly.
"Friend," Annabell replied blankly, she closed her book. "Is there something wrong with that?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
"Stay away from him," Blossom demanded hitting the table.
Annabelle almost scoffed. She dropped her book, crossed her legs, and rested against her seat. "Alright," she said. "Are you his girlfriend?" she asked.
Blossom sweated a bit. "Well, no... But--"
"Then who are you to demand who I can speak to?" Annabelle said standing up, almost angrily, and walking towards her. "Even if you are his girlfriend, who are you to try and control who he can and can not talk to?" she asked, she had no idea her aura had changed to a dark one.
"You have no idea who you are--"
"Talking to?" Annabelle replied. "You want to ruin my life?" she asked mockingly. "Get out of your head b**ch. You've had your chance," she said poking Blossom in the chest as she stepped back in fear. "But your infidelity ruined your relationship."
"Don't act like I'm the only one who was being unfaithful... He must have been doing it all the time with you," Blossom said accusingly.
Jamie and Niel were laughing at something when they came to this scene.
Annabelle gritted her teeth and then smiled evilly. "I've never been more glad that I was born a female," she said happily.
Blossom was confused until Annabelle punched her straight in the face, grabbing her hair and smashing her face against the wall. "Oh no," Niel said but didn't do anything and held Jamie back from moving while their other classmates ran over to Annabelle to try to stop her from permanently disfiguring Blossom's face.
It took five people to hold her and keep her from slipping away. "Let me at her!" Annabelle said angrily. "Some people don't deserve beautiful faces with such disgusting hearts," she said kicking the air.
Blossom got up, her nose was broken and her face was bloody.
Hudson ran into the classroom with his phone on record. "I sensed fighting," he said then saw the sight. "Oh sh--" He never thought he'd see the day Annabelle would get angry enough to beat someone up.
Time froze and Annabelle noticed this. The only ones who weren't frozen were her, Hudson, Jamie, and surprisingly, Niel. "Did everything freeze all of a sudden?" he said in confusion when he noticed that no one was moving, everyone looked at him.
"I can still move," Annabelle, Hudson, and Jamie said at the same time.
"She's really messed up."
Everyone made a sound of surprise and turned around to see Nathan observing Blossom. "When did you--" Niel was confused, first of all, time stopped, and then he froze.
'It's annoying that sometimes he can cancel out my magic,' Nathan thought walking towards his twin and making a magic circle above his head, wiping his memory. It's not surprising to the others though.
He didn't plan on making them freeze in time. "You know your brother wanted to do this right?" he said to Jamie pointing at Blossom.
"I wasn't expecting her to do it, to be honest," Jamie replied. "Also Niel stopped me," he said.
Nathan creates a magic circle blankly, Jamie's eyes gleamed in amazement and curiosity. "What are you doing?" Annabelle asked.
"Reversing time," Nathan replied. "He wouldn't be happy if one of his familiars gets expelled for trivial matters," he said. "Now choose if you want to remember or forget."
Annabelle was frustrated. She wanted a bit of revenge. "I want to remember," she said quite firmly.
"No, my video," Hudson said in despair and Nathan froze him in time.
"But can I ask for a favor?" she asked.
Time reversed back to ten minutes ago and Annabelle was in her seat, holding up her book. Apart from her, Jamie, and Nathan, the only other person who remembers that little incident is Blossom who is standing before her, with her mouth opening and closing like a fish.
"Can I help you?" Annabelle asked nonchalantly, maintaining her usual attitude.
Blossom was deep in her mind. She could have sworn that she was just getting beat up by the girl in front of her. She could still feel the pain of her face being smashed up against the wall
She touched her face and could feel the blood, her face paled looking at Annabelle.
Annabelle glared at her coldly. If looks could kill, then Blossom would have died a thousand deaths. "If you have nothing to say, then leave. You're polluting my breathing space," she said.
Whatever Blossom wanted to say had left her mind. So instead she composed herself. "I'm sorry for disturbing you," she said quietly and left the class.
Annabell covered her face with her book and smirked. 'I think this is a lot better.'

Hansel has never been more embarrassed in his life. He wishes he had put a cloaking spell on himself and the demons, but he wanted them to explore this world a bit and he's facing a bit of secondhand embarrassment, the same kind you get when your parents misbehave in a grocery store, or best friend is trying to do a bad prank video and you are the cameraman because you lost a stupid bet.
They were behaving like hostile teenagers going through a rebellious stage. Even Minos and Varrine. They haven't tried to attack anyone, but their glares are enough.
"I want to die," he muttered to himself. He had given Lilith his mother's old clothes with permission. Minos was wearing his old clothes, Beel was wearing his father's old clothes, with permission of course and Varrine was wearing his mom's old clothes that were shrunken down with a bit of magic.
They had just finished shopping at a thrift store and they got a wide selection of clothes without breaking Hansel's account, too much.
'This sucks,' he thought.
"Do we have to disguise ourselves as humans?" Lilith asked after glaring at a man she caught checking her out. "I'd like to end the lives of someone right now."
"Yes... I can't afford to get in trouble with the law," Hansel replied.
The demons looked at each other. "Why are you concerned about playing along with human laws?" Varrine asked out of curiosity.
"It's only normal," Hansel replied, keeping his eyes on the road.
He notices a speeding speed car with a careless driver in it. And 'surprisingly' a sorry excuse of a mother walking to the middle of the road with her child while on her phone and had AirPods covering her ear.
She notices the incoming danger when her child desperately tries to get away from her. She covered her child with her body, hoping to shield him from being hit.
The car hadn't hit the woman or her child, instead, it crashed into a pole.
No one aside from the demons knew that Hansel had used his magic to manipulate the steering wheel and continued moving forward without a care.
'Why did do that?'
