Alex, Alice, Luna, Ann, Noctura, and Theron walked through a forest right next to the imperial capital of the Ferox Empire.
The forest was filled with large trees reaching a height that seemed like they were touching the sky from the humans' perspective.
They would come across some beasts once in a while, and although those beasts were strong, none of them were attacked as they walked along with the emperor of this domain.
So, for everyone other than Theron, this was sightseeing, and as they walked along with Alex, passing some remarks at each other, they enjoyed their time—that was until their peace was interrupted by a loud baam.
*BAAM!*
The sound came from right beside them, but they didn't see anything or feel anything; it was as if a bomb had just gone off next to them.
They didn't even feel a shockwave or the said baam.
