She was standing right in front of him now, her head tilted backwards as she looked up at him.
For a single second, he had forgotten what she had done to him, forgotten what she was capable of doing. He had forgotten all the lies, all he saw was the lovely elf he had fallen for on that fateful night and her small lips opening and closing. He could hear the words she was saying, but in that little second, he wasn't thinking about them, so he mindlessly asked, "Then who was it?"
Neriah's eyes dilated as he asked the question. She didn't think he would believe her so easily, but it seemed the goddess was really on her side. It seemed he was ready to listen to her after all.
