Of course she had been scared but it was a one night only fear! Just that one night when it had happened. If she even thought about it more, she was more shocked than scared that night, albeit the fear was still there.
But not until the next morning when she woke up to find the spot next to her cold and empty, did a new wave of emotions completely different from fear begin to wash over her.
The more she thought about the entire night the more ridiculous it seemed to her. Aside from the fact that he had somehow found out that she had met up with her lover, he didn't seem too sure about her entire visit. He just seemed to have a clue of the matter. And when he had talked about her lips being kissed and it being obvious, maybe her lips were swollen. Was that how he guessed she had been with someone else?
